My granddaughter is coming over this morning to spend the day helping me do some housework. She likes to come and it helps her earn a bit of money. I have some things to catch up on in the office so this will keep me from getting behind.

Enjoy your granddaughter. Mine used to help me, and I would take them to lunch or pay them. Now that their lives are so busy...oh my, some weeks I never see them. Perhaps in December after college classes end..........

She's 14 so I have a little more time I hope Marilyn. We did get a lot accomplished and even managed to get the office cleaned.

I am having fun with my 12 year old grandson. He is one of the twins and will be 13 in November. Saturday we are going to bake Halloween cupcakes and cookies. The quilt he made for his parents is at the quilters; today I took it and my last quilt that I need to send to Germany for Christmas.

Oh Linda, I hope you can share photos of his quilt. Baking together is such fun!

Today is errand day after an appointment and then I plan to clean out the vehicles. We purchased another Honda and I already have someone who wants mine so I want to get the Accord vacuumed and wiped down. We took the kids in the Odyssey and so there is mud on the carpeting. We ordered some of those Weather tech mats where they laser cut them to fit your vehicle and they came in yesterday. I want to make sure the carpets are free of any dirt before we put them in. We have been looking for over a year for another one and this one showed up locally. It is used but in such pristine condition I can hardly believe it is a used vehicle. Wanted something we could use to take all of the grands somewhere if we want. We will see how it travels when we go for the baby's first birthday this month. Have a good day everyone.

It feels like a rare October morning in Florida. There is a low pressure, possible tropical storm, churning in the Gulf and racing towards the western part of Florida. We will probably just get a good soaking rain and some wind gusts from it. As a result, it is much cooler and overcast this morning with rain ahead this afternoon and tomorrow. We need to rain and the worst of the front looks now to be more at the Fla/ Ga border. Next Thursday, I am heading out to Oklahoma to visit my artist friend and her family. She is having an annual Open House in her studio on the weekend and I am excited to be going for the fourth time again. Hopefully, I will see some pretty fall leaves out there like last year and have cooler weather!

Linda, I hope you can post the quilt you and grandson put together. Such a wonderful heirloom to gift for Christmas!

Denise, how fantastic that you were able to find such a great second hand car for family purposes!

I love being able to sit in my"Log Cabin" this morning with both windows open and I light sweater on! It is just fantastic!!

Winnie I am thrilled that you are enjoying sweater weather. We need a sweater, sweat shirt or some other light wrap in early mornings. Yesterday we were needy all day long. Yea!!!

At 3pm we went down to a 'new to me' pecan tree. My husband had been picking up a few pecans and he decided it would be easier if he weeded it with his new battery operated, cordless weed eater. Then he had to cut some wild plum mess out of the way. But we got a half of a feed bucket of pecans. Then he drove us up to the pear tree where he got two pears to see if they were ready.so after he goes back down there and picks some I know what I will be doing this weekend. As I r were about to enter our lane our neighbor stopped so we visited with him for a bit. It was a beautiful day!

Linda, my friend lives in Sapulpa, OK which is very near to Tulsa. She is a folk Artist and works from her studio at her home. If you would like to see more and visit her at SLEIGHTHOLMFOLK.COM. She sells her work from her Etsy show which is at her website .

My Dad lived in Sapulpa when he was young. They lived all over Oklahoma as Grandpa worked in the oil fields.

Marilyn enjoy those pecans you got and pears too!

Winnie so glad you are finally feeling some cooler weather.

We hung out at home today doing office stuff and switching insurance etc. om the vehicles. Made me so Glad that Tori and I were able to get so much done in the house this week. But I am tired and still have things to do and we need to go pick up my brother in law. Didn't think he'd be here till tomorrow night but he traveled today instead and will stay till Wednesday to help out.

Winnie I really like Heather's artwork. Is this where you get your awesome postcards? I have saved every farm girl card and postcard I have been sent. The postcards I keep in a collection though.

Yesterday I switched my Medicare drug program - same company cheaper plan. Should have done it last year. Agent says check every year because they rename and change plans all the time.

I'm only going to be on here for a minute, but wanted to update you guys and try to make a long story short... On Wednesday, we found out we lost our baby, just prior to 20 weeks. They started an induction that night. On Thursday my uterus ruptured... emergency cesarean and hysterectomy. Lost over 2/3rds of my blood. After multiple units of blood and many days in ICU, I am home... without my baby, unable to ever have more children, but home with my family. We have a long road ahead of us, and are asking for prayers <3

Denise, Heather is the Folk Artist behind all of my post cards that I send. Her business name is on the back of each card and you can see all of her work at her website. Some of her friends are coming and bringing chili and goodies to add to the items we are making and adding as well. It is going to be a lot of fun just visiting in her studio, and sharing. Many of us are bringing our own handwork and doing that as well. I pulled out a pair of socks I started knitting 3 years ago but had to stop due to my thumb issue which finally got fixed last year with surgery. I also Muckross confess, that knitting socks is tedious because you have to follow a pattern very carefully and it is a pain in the neck until you get the swing of it.
