My husband has bought fruit from a young farmer and his wife all summer long. The first day...he got a big long watermelon and two cantaloupes. Each week he stopped for two cantaloupes. Then the peaches came. They have been so good.
Just the other day someone said that word.
I said Shhhhh. My hubby had that once. It was pretty bad. I took him to the ER and they did tests...gave him antibiotics and it took several days before he felt better.

I can't find where I joined - it used to be on our profile, but now it doesn't show. I think I joined in 2009.

So sorry you have not been feeling well Bonnie.hope you are feeling better.

I joined the forum early in 2006, almost at the beginning. So many farmgirls have come and gone. Glad we have so many active ladies in our henhouse.

Linda,
If you go to the main forum and hit members button at the top next to active topics, you can look up your user name and it tells when you joined. Yours says 2009.

The a.c. is being replaced today. It takes a long time. They arrived at 8:30 this morning and still aren't finished at 3:00

Denise Do you have central air conditioning? I wonder why it is taking so long? I had Jimmy replace ours about 5 years ago and he only spent a couple of hours. He just removed the old unit and set the new one and connected it. He was replacing the outside part that contains the fan and compressor. He checked to see if it was running ok. Then I paid him. A couple of days later he called to check on how it was working. My big surprise came later when the electric bill came. He told me it would be. Cheaper to run. It was.

Yes, it is central air ad they had to replace the condenser and coils, which is almost everything. They were able to use the same piping but had to take out all the old to get the new stuff in. There was alot to be done. This has got to be more efficient as the other one was already 20 yrs old. They had to pressurize it and since it also part of the heating system they had to put everything back they had to take apart to get to it.

Three days left of August. I sure don't know where the time goes. Getting started thinking of gifts for Christmas. Three more birthday gifts before then. We have 6 between now and Christmas but I have some done. I am doing handmade things this year at least for some of them.

I'm so happy August os almost over; it just hasn't been a good month around here. I'm hoping September will be better.

Denise -- I'm so glad they are fixing your a/c. I can't imagine living in that humidity without it, or maybe It is like Hawaii -- loved Hawaii but hated the humidity; made a nice place very uncomfortable.

I don't remember there being a lot of humidity when we lived in Hawaii Judith. Seemed like the weather was perfect year round. Now I've gotten a little used to no ac at least I won't keep turning it down. LOL.
