Today 3/12 Update on page 5 and 6...

Please become a follower on our blog. I've given the link to businesses for advertising purposes. So the more followers we have the better.
http://simpleliferevisited.blogspot.com/

The companies are very excited about my co-op idea and are very interested in helping us promote it.

I am posting under the "chapter chatter" so please subscribe to that also to keep updated on the henhouse and welcome kits.

I have my welcome kit for the Henhouse, yeah! Please, send me your address so I can send out your welcome kit to the co-op and henhouse. I'm so excited about all the activities and fun we will be having.8/16

Addresses received: Joanna, Alee, Diana, Tina, Jeannie, Dalyn, Sherone, Toni, Sherri, Heather, Michele, Cindy, Julie, LaVonna, Joyce.

I've decided to make our co-op a Henhouse. I will be getting things all together next week. Please email me your addresses so I can send out the official list and welcome kit. I'll have a questionaire as well for you to return to me. If you're not in the sisterhood please join and then when I get the henhouse started you can email Brian to join.[/
orange]
By the way you can join more than one henhouse no limits.

Thanks for your support!I've come up with an idea that I hope will take hold in our lovely forum we have found here at MJF. I belong to a local organic veg. co-op and thought why couldn't this work for an online group co-op. We boast that we are a sisterhood, well why not show it by supporting each other in the things we make and sell.
When we need a gift for some occassion why not go to one of our farmgirls sites and buy from them. And, when we need cleaning products buy from those that sell earth friendly products. And when you need spices or vitamins go to the farmgirl that sells it. Get the picture??
Now the way a co-op works is you get a discount off the regular retail price of an item. So, to get the discount you need to check with the farmgirls and join their business or ask for the farmgirl discount they will give off their regular retail price.
So to join just sign up here and make your commitment to support your local farmgirls. List your website or blog, etc. And, you have to be willing to buy when someone buys from you. It wouldn't be fair if it is only a one way street.
Also, this would apply to MaryJane's store as well. I've bought things from her and of course I'm not saying I'm waiting for her to buy from me, lol. And we all subscribe to her magazine and that helps her as well. So, why not continue this connection and branch out across the country and show the rest of the people out there that it can be done.

Hugs to All,

Marjean

It is very easy to do, just read the ones that are already posted and that will help you out. That is what I did. You have to make it sound news worthy not pitchy!
There is a cool one for a soap making event. I wanted to do something like they are for our group. I'll find it again and give you the link.

Some exciting news. I have been doing a lot of research to help me advertise my own business and the co-op. I found several things that are FREE and I'd like all of you to help me do this.
I don't know what has happened to several of our shop farmgirls. I've emailed them and I don't see them coming to the forum and posting under our thread either.
If you are still wanting to be a part of the co-op please email me or check in here. These new advertisng plans will benefit everyone so everyone needs to participate to make if fare for the ones who are regularyly supporting us.

Ok, now have you heard of press releases? And do you know how it works? What about virtual flyers? Please let me know if you know what I mean.

I would like everyone to go to these sites and advertise your website and include a link to the Sunshine Farmgirl blog at www.simpleliferevisited.blogspot.com
The press release site is www.pr.com
Follow the join for free steps and read how to write a good press release. They will email you if it is accepted or if you need to make any changes.

Second, go to www.vflyer.com and do the same free to join steps and make up your free virtual flyer to advertise your site and the co-op. This will put our co-op high in the search engines. Be sure to use the name Sunshine Farmgirl Co-op.
Do not bring them here, only to the blog and your own site.

Isn't this exciting? All for free. I love it. Please let me know when you have completed both sites. The sooner you do the sooner you will get free traffic to our sites. Yeah!!!

My local paper the Beacon is doing an article on us. I'm speaking to a reporter that does just interesting stories and another that does stories on new businesses called "Out and About". I feel so honored.
If each of us calls our local papers and tells them about our group and how it all got started they will be very interested and will offer to do a piece on us. That way we will get stories going all over the country.

We have a new blog in the works for our Sunshine Co-op group. There are two ads I have also coming up for the group. One is on Shabby Lane Shops that directs to the blog. The other is with Small Town Living coming up soon. There is still time for you to send in your ad fee to support both ads.
I paid for two months on the Shabby Lane Shops. We will be featured in their magazines and online and on their blog. If you'd like to contribute it would be greatly appreciated.

Hugs,
Marsha
