Today 3/12 Update on page 5 and 6...

Please become a follower on our blog. I've given the link to businesses for advertising purposes. So the more followers we have the better.
http://simpleliferevisited.blogspot.com/

The companies are very excited about my co-op idea and are very interested in helping us promote it.

I am posting under the "chapter chatter" so please subscribe to that also to keep updated on the henhouse and welcome kits.

I have my welcome kit for the Henhouse, yeah! Please, send me your address so I can send out your welcome kit to the co-op and henhouse. I'm so excited about all the activities and fun we will be having.8/16

Addresses received: Joanna, Alee, Diana, Tina, Jeannie, Dalyn, Sherone, Toni, Sherri, Heather, Michele, Cindy, Julie, LaVonna, Joyce.

I've decided to make our co-op a Henhouse. I will be getting things all together next week. Please email me your addresses so I can send out the official list and welcome kit. I'll have a questionaire as well for you to return to me. If you're not in the sisterhood please join and then when I get the henhouse started you can email Brian to join.[/
orange]
By the way you can join more than one henhouse no limits.

Thanks for your support!I've come up with an idea that I hope will take hold in our lovely forum we have found here at MJF. I belong to a local organic veg. co-op and thought why couldn't this work for an online group co-op. We boast that we are a sisterhood, well why not show it by supporting each other in the things we make and sell.
When we need a gift for some occassion why not go to one of our farmgirls sites and buy from them. And, when we need cleaning products buy from those that sell earth friendly products. And when you need spices or vitamins go to the farmgirl that sells it. Get the picture??
Now the way a co-op works is you get a discount off the regular retail price of an item. So, to get the discount you need to check with the farmgirls and join their business or ask for the farmgirl discount they will give off their regular retail price.
So to join just sign up here and make your commitment to support your local farmgirls. List your website or blog, etc. And, you have to be willing to buy when someone buys from you. It wouldn't be fair if it is only a one way street.
Also, this would apply to MaryJane's store as well. I've bought things from her and of course I'm not saying I'm waiting for her to buy from me, lol. And we all subscribe to her magazine and that helps her as well. So, why not continue this connection and branch out across the country and show the rest of the people out there that it can be done.

Hugs to All,

Marjean

Not a problem! I think you have a great idea. I will be updating my website when I get back-adding paypal again and such. Until then you all can email me through the forum if there is anything you need. I have a great soap that crumbles easily after being grated that is an all-natural, unscented replacement for Fels Naptha soap for the homemade soap recipe.

You are so great Joanna! My wheels are always turning for things fun and different that make sense. I have been supporting many farmgirls as well since I found this forum. So why not make it a two-way street. Yeah! I'm really looking forward to see how many will get the spirit and jump on board!!

I'm interested in one of your cool pin cushions in the country colors. Let me know what choices you have. I am making each member of my family their own quilt right now and have fabric and pin cushions everywhere, lol!
Thanks so much,

Marjean

Sent you an email with the details!

This is going to be fun!! Love seeing what everyone has, does, creates etc. This forum has been the best!! I live in the middle of no where, so being connected with other farmgirls and having the opportunity to support their businesses from a distance is awesome!

Oh, this is great. We will keep this post for everyone to come to and check the list of what everyone sells. So post your stores or blogs and a list of what you sell. Also, you make up your own offers when the farmgirl wants to buy something from you.

I'm giving free shipping on my etsy shop and 50% off shipping on my fuller brush site. If anyone joins my fuller site they will get their own discount off what they buy which is quite good. Starts at 20% and goes up.

To join go to www.fullerbrushgetstarted.com use id# 0920150 I will give more details to any who want to sign-up and have a farmgirl sign-up under them and so on.

On my etsy shop email before you buy and I will take off the shipping cost.

Thanks,
Marjean

I can do this privately, but not through my STF site, so if anyone is interested in any of my items (children's clothing) they could e-mail me.

Directory Added

This is just a general idea of what each farmgirl sells. Once you visit her site you will see what else she makes that you might be interested in buying.

If anyone is good at making newsletters, I'd like to see one made up for our directory and then I could email it out to everyone on the list who signs-up.

Be sure to email the farmgirl before you purchase to get your discount.

Thanks again to everyone who has joined in thus far!

Hey Marjean, you should add a custom order section. . . then you could list me there with http://www.Eastwooddesigns.com as well as http://CountryCents.com

Since I create so many different items things change regularly on my sites. The same applies to both websites, free shipping and specials for farmgirls only!!

Ok, I am in. I have my general website that has links to other sites. Most everything is wellness related. Supplements and such. I will tell you that I do use products from several companies and I do take these products myself. I am a hard one to sell this sort of thing to. If it is just a trendy thing - forget it. But there are several really good product lines from really good companies.
www.windsongwellnessandtherapyshoppe.com I think it is in my link and there is a link on the Sadies Farm blog.

The one new thing I got into that sounds trendy but is just great, is Ardyss International Reshaping garments. Their slogan is "drop 3 sizes in 10 minutes" and you can. At least I would say 2 sizes. And what I love about it is the support it gives my back- it is so great. And since we are girls here- it moves THE GIRLS back up north with a perky look to them. It also is quite restrictive across the ribs and the positive result of this is that it is like a external lapband without the surgery. It will not let you eat alot.

I would sell to any one with a discount but all of these compaines are available for member discounts and do not pressure you to sell product.
My Ardyss website is www.ardysslife.com/lavonna

I will watch how things progress.

Yes Brooke you can sell anything online you just need to say what is in it for people who have allergies to things. I've sent you an email on a special order for me if you can do it let me know.

Marjean, my mom (soon to be 88) has sold all sorts of things over time. Back in late 1940s she needed to supplement my dads income and my brother was very small- I was not here yet. She sold Fuller Brush and Stanley Home products. She would do home parties and get groups of women together to talk cleaning products. She would sell and then she would deliver those products. They lived in a small west Texas town and she would walk all over town delivering the sold products. My brother remembers toddling along holding her hand as they walked all over town. It was something stay at home moms could do then and I am sure they still can. I did not know they were still around until I looked at your website I told her about it and she was glad to know it.
Just a little nostalgia I thought I would share with you.
