Hi farmgirls! Here's an excerpt from MJ's book that comes out May 24, included for the purpose of prompting you to divulge your birthdays to me!!! I can keep track of them here and announce your special day to everyone here who chats. E-mail your date and chatroom "title/name" to me at birthdays@maryjanesfarm.org. Let's fuss and celebrate like MaryJane's mother did!!! "My mother met twice a month, without fail, for almost fifty years with a group of fifteen women that came from a cross section of religions. 'We called ourselves 'The Girls.' Jerry Grill, who lived four doors down, got the group started. She was outgoing and began inviting women to her house in the mornings for tea after we got our children off to school. When we had toddlers, we put them all together in a playroom in her house. Eventually, we moved our meetings to the evenings so our husbands could tend the children and we'd get a break. One night a month was always set aside for pinochle and the other night for needlwork--crocheting, embroidery, and knitting. And we always made a big deal out of our birthdays."

Just follow God unquestioningly.
Because you love Him so, for if you trust His judgment there is nothing you need to know.

I trust in you Jesus...

Hi ya'll, my birthday is May 24, 1961. I shared many birthdays with my brother, as we were only 11 months apart, making our birthdays fall about two weeks apart. When I was 3, Mom tried to dress us like twins, but I wouldn't stay in the jeans and tennies more than five minutes. It was dresses and lace for me with patent leather Mary Jane shoes and a spoon to go dig in the dirt. Not much has changed there! Hahaa.. Loved my brother, but I wasn't gonna dress like a boy! Not this girly-girl (who now loves to garden, and yes in my dress! or at least an apron) :)

I have been around only about two weeks here. My birthday is September 7, 1956.

May the stars carry your sadness away. May the flowers fill your heart with beauty, and may hope forever wipe away your tears.

My birthday is April 14, 1953, exactly 9 months after my mom's birthday. What a present she got that year.
She taught me to bake, sew and sing. My dad taught me to love our rock garden in Anaheim, which carried over to many gardens since then. It is my therapy. I love gardening, playing guitar, singing, quilting, photography and watercolor painting.
