Ordering online incurs extra shipping/handling expense, usually- due to the nature of the product. Just something to remember if you get excited by a low price, then see it doubled (or more) to get it to your door.

My hardware store sells it. The bottle says 100% lye. Luckily it's stocked on the shelf. I pay just under $5 for it. I did have a friend who said they buy theirs in bulk through a cleaning service supply company for a cheaper price.

The best prices are usually found online- and you have to make sure the the hardware stuff is 100% lye.

I find mine at Ace Hardware as well. But you have to ask for it. It is kept in the back under lock and key.

Go to a hardware store. It's in the plumbing isle usually. :)

Not available in stores. Aparently some people use it for unsavory purposes. Try www.thechemistrystore.com
