I thought it would be fun and encouraging to share three blessings every day.

I'll start :)

1)Sleeping in
2)My honey making me a Chai Latte this morning
3)Hearing the Meadowlarks song

How about you?

I'm thankful for the harvest from our garden this year, and how much we've been able to can, freeze and root cellar.
I'm thankful for my husband of 46 years and that we can still keep doing as much as we can together.
Sunshine and cooler temperatures.

I am thankful for . . .

1. My Ex Fiance' who is still my heating and cooling guy for giving me such a good deal on a new furnace and central air to replace my 31 year old existing units that are on it's last leg (my Grandfather had the existing put in in 1986) . . .

2. For my Husband, who is such a wonderful man that he does not mind in the least that my Ex-fiance' is our heating and cooling guy , , ,

2. For my Boss, who called me today with a promotion offer (a lot more money) . . . which I immediately turned down because it would mean I would no longer work for her.

Today I'm thankful for

Not wearing make up at all any more. I feel awkward with it on now that I'm older.

Never, ever having to shave my legs my whole life. My daughter doesn't either. My sisters are envious.

Being alive and feeling good.

Cyndie, I love the description of "City ick" Also, I feel the same way about the older I get, the less tolerate of makeup I am. LOL

1. I had to go into the Office in the city today (UGH), but I managed to get a free parking space right in front of the building (which is a rare occurrence) . . .

2. Again, running water because after coming home from being in the city, I needed to take a long, hot shower to scrub the "city ick" off of me and get the makeup off of my face (the older I get, the less I can tolerate makeup . . . and "city ick" is a real thing . . . it is the smell of pollution and car exhaust in my hair, on my skin and the germs from an office of 200 people)

3. That I have a Boss that allows me to work "remotely" 98% of the time, thus preventing "city ick"! ("Remotely" is the fancy term for "from home", which isn't really permitted where I work, but I am allowed to because of my work ethic, trustworthiness, and because I made our entire unit "mobile").

1. My best friend dropped me off a container of her "almost world famous" Fajita seasoning mix at 7:00 this morning, knowing I was making fajitas for dinner today (hubby's belated birthday dinner).

2. The Home Economics classes in high school (the ones like I took that were cooking, sewing and home budget management - I think they "did away" with them in the 90's.)

3. Running water, which I never take for granted.

1. That I finally got to see my husband today, for the first time since last Sunday (he has been working 80 hour weeks for almost a month now because his boss decided to up and resign).

2. Imada Red Flower oil (nothing better in the world for aches and pains!)

3. My Sladust wool dry mop that picked up those cat fur "tumbleweeds" that managed to evade my vacuum.

and an EXTRA blessing . . .

I am off until next Thursday!

1. We haven't had rain for going on a week and it allowed my basement to dry . . .
2. My 5 cats who are all on the sofa with me right now, all 5 purring away . . .
3. Strong black coffee
