I have a little bear that a dear friend made for my son before he was born. In an effort to preserve it I was thinking of washing it and retiring it to his keepsakes. I thought it was kind of sad that the bear only has 4 years of play with my son. Then I thought wouldn't it be wonderful if the little bear could travel around before being retired. Then in the future when he is grown I can give him his bear with all the wonderful notes, pictures and keepsakes. I especially invite young cultivators to do this since this is a child's toy. I'm sure it will be filled with love and hugs.

I copied the rules from the traveling doll since Alee did so well at coming up with them.

I would be happy to host this Pass Along and keep tabs on where the Bear is. .

Here are the rules so far, please feel free to suggest more if you think of any:

Sign up here and send me your name and complete address and phone number via email

When you receive the bear take pictures of it and either write up a little journal entry or create a digital scrap book page to email to Amber(me). I will then collect them and organize them into an E-Book for all participants

When you send the bear onwards you will need to pay for tracking. Then please email Amber the tracking number.

Only keep the bear for a maximum of two weeks. Unless you fall on a holiday and have to keep the bear longer because of a vacation or some other pressing matter.

Feel free to make accessories for the bear, fix him if he tears and embroider him. If it's suitcase starts getting full it might have to make a stop at home to drop off some clothes. I just ask please don't paint it or put buttons on it. You never know this may go to another baby years down the road.

Edit:
Here's the list so far

Joey - traveled
Darlene -traveled
Sherry -traveled
Laura - traveled
Sandy - traveled
Pennie - ***
Jennie
Rodonna
Daizy
Laurie* waiting for address

It was a fun swap for me, We went around the Redwoods and neat places to see!
It was a great memory for me too!

Maybe someone else will try it sometime.

Have a great week end Krista.

Oh wow! This sounds like it was such a fun little swap. My kids would have enjoyed having a bear visit in the mail and taking fun pictures with him. I’m sorry he was lost for so long, but I’m glad he has made it home safe and sound.

What a wonderful adventure for Blue bear, thanks for letting me join in it. I still love seeing the photos of his visit here in the Redwoods.

That was fun and he was such a welcome visitor.

Have a blessed day?

Hay there,

I am sure he has lots to tell, if he could speak! Glad he made it home. If he still wants to travel then he is always welcome here at the ranch. Calves will be coming soon and there is always a ride on the tractor to feed hay. The hens will begin laying soon and the roosters are growing too. Let me know if he wants to come!!

Guess what?! After being out on the road for a year Blue came back home just in time for the holidays. So thanks Sandy for sending him on his way for the holidays. I'm sure he might have been a little homesick.

I was just reading about Blue's adventures. Praying he makes it home soon! If he decides to do more traveling, we would be happy to have him here, though I understand if he decides to stay home! (((hugs))) and we will be praying he returns home safely and hasn't moved!

I really don't know where he is I was pretty sure I'd see him soon. I think he is still with Sandy but I don't even know if she is even getting my emails. I'm super sad and I don't know who to talk to about this.

He's been gone so long I'm a little afraid he may have moved away. I had hoped to keep blue for Logans first child. Luckily I found an email a couple of days ago that I had not replied to from MONTHS ago. So you never know maybe he will.

If he makes his way back and is still interested in traveling, I would love to be added to the host mom list! This is such a sweet idea.

I'm still interested if he's still traveling! :0)
Sounds like he's been on quite a long adventure.

I'm sorry to hear Blue is lost. I'm still very interested in having him visit NJ- even though it's very cold here.
My daughter has big plans for him and my students are anxiously awaiting a visit.
I hope Blue makes it home soon. I'll send up a special prayer.
