I was wondering if there are any Farmgirls out there who have acorns in your area and would be willing to send me some for my Fall displays. I would like about a gallon plastic freezer bag full if I can get them but I will take what ever I can get! We only have pine trees and ashen trees here in my area of Colorado.

I am willing to barter for something you may want and I will replace your freezer bag as I know they are expected expensive:-)

Thank you and Happy Fall!

Hugs,
Deb

You guys may have some in your own town. Look for oak trees and then look underneath them. My daughter has oak trees in her town in the roadside park and they are everywhere. They are more of a brown color. I am guessing there are different varieties of acorns. How do you take the husks off?

Well I will be getting some acorns and Eucalyptus out to you both this week. Just waiting for pay day, that way you can have them for fall decoration.
Enjoy.

I am waiting for things to dry out so I can get some more acorns for you Debbie. Once they hit the wet ground and it rains again it is hard to find very many whole ones with the caps still intact.

Debbie...I knew Colorado was getting hit with a Snow Storm and was wondering if you and CJ
were getting hit with it. Seems way to early for snow doesn't it??? Even in Colorado. We
are getting rain, rain, and more rain. I have now had to take my walking back into the
Fitness Center. Let me tell you I LOVE walking out doors...hate walking on a Treadmill. Can
we say..."Boring"? Had to call Fitbit too and have them help me tweak my Charge HR as the
first day I went back inside to walk I walked for 2 hours and 5+ miles and it only calculated
3,879 Steps. It should have been about 11,000+ steps...so, I got ripped off a lot of steps...
and I was NOT a HAPPY Fitbit user. LOL But the important thing was I got my exercise in anyway
and then when I went back in yesterday it calculated my steps correctly.

Off to do my FB and get a nap before I have to go to Bible Study later.

Love and Smiles,
Peggy

No there aren't any trees in my area that have acorns, Redwoods, firs and Eucalyptus, mostly.
I am happy to share, do you still want some, there will be plenty for me too.

I only have 3 left Peggy, the rest went to Debbie!
Sorry!
I will keep you in mind if in my yard sale wanderings I find some more. They are hard to find in sales and not any around my area.

Oh I am glad they got to you ok. They sure were pretty and they look great in that bowl Debbie.
There really is a difference to the ones under the big ones. I got them both from rummage sales. I am glad they have a good home.
Thanks Debbie.

Look at these beautiful acorns that Darlene sent me, the color is amazing! I have never seen them this color and so large. Under them are some normal size and color acorns that i am use to seeing.
I have them displayed in a vintage wood bowl with my lighted grapevine pumpkin and little Halloween Tree.
Thank you so much Darlene, I appreciate you for gathering and sending them to me.
Thank you so much Darlene, a surprise package will be arriving at your door neighbor Dr week.

Oh Marilyn my Kindle does that to me all the time, changing the spelling of my words so frustrating!
I will ask my girlfriend in Savannah to check on the pods for me from the Magnolia Tree, could possibly be a spring thing!
Thank you Marilyn and Darlene.
