I was wondering if there are any Farmgirls out there who have acorns in your area and would be willing to send me some for my Fall displays. I would like about a gallon plastic freezer bag full if I can get them but I will take what ever I can get! We only have pine trees and ashen trees here in my area of Colorado.

I am willing to barter for something you may want and I will replace your freezer bag as I know they are expected expensive:-)

Thank you and Happy Fall!

Hugs,
Deb

Hi Debbie,
How are you doing:D?
Through my wanderings I have a baggie full of acorns. that is it though.
Not much but a scatter. Minus 3.

Do you want little acorns or big acorns? Are you aware they may bring little bugs into your house? We have post oaks, small acorns. I haven't looked to see if there are acorns though. A Sunday afternoon project for me.

This little bag has been in a baggie a long time before I got it. so no bugs on this one. We have oak trees here but not close by. We are in Redwood and other firs and conifer country. I could sent you Eucalyptus pods, they kind of look like acorns, more smelly :D

Marilyn, large or small, or combination of both would be fine.
I was unware of the bugs, my girlfriend from Savannah sent me 4 last year that's all she could find, and they did not have bugs.
But, I would still like them if you find any.
What would you like in return, I have yarn, fabric most anything, just let me know.
Thank you.

What are Mongolia trees, I haven't heard of them. Are you talking about Magnolia trees? I found they have a neat pod on the web. That was cool

Yes, I did not realize it was misspelled. I typed it in as magnolia but the very super intelligent device I love to hate said it was Mongolia.

Oh Marilyn my Kindle does that to me all the time, changing the spelling of my words so frustrating!
I will ask my girlfriend in Savannah to check on the pods for me from the Magnolia Tree, could possibly be a spring thing!
Thank you Marilyn and Darlene.

Look at these beautiful acorns that Darlene sent me, the color is amazing! I have never seen them this color and so large. Under them are some normal size and color acorns that i am use to seeing.
I have them displayed in a vintage wood bowl with my lighted grapevine pumpkin and little Halloween Tree.
Thank you so much Darlene, I appreciate you for gathering and sending them to me.
Thank you so much Darlene, a surprise package will be arriving at your door neighbor Dr week.

Oh I am glad they got to you ok. They sure were pretty and they look great in that bowl Debbie.
There really is a difference to the ones under the big ones. I got them both from rummage sales. I am glad they have a good home.
Thanks Debbie.
have a good night.

Sorry!
I will keep you in mind if in my yard sale wanderings I find some more. They are hard to find in sales and not any around my area.
