Hello!
Our chapter has some exciting news as one of our members and her online business was the COVER story for Portland's own Willamette Weekly newspaper. (aka the Willy Week)
The cover photo is Robin dressed as Rosie the Riveter... but instead of a drill in her hand, she has a pair of scissors! The article talks about the crafty movement within Portland and 3rd wave feminists...and features Robin's amazing business Mothermade.org.
Here is the link: http://www.wweek.com/editorial/3347/9641/

Hey, Brooke! I didn't know we had a chapter in Portland. I belong to the Clark County Farmgirls. I SAW that WW cover but didn't know it was a farmgirl. Now, I'll have to pick it up. Woo hoo! Tell me more about your chapter.

Farmgirl hug,
Patricia

Hiya Patricia,

Thanks! Isn't Portland great? We meet on Wednesday's at my house over dinner, treats, coffee, and the occasional glass of wine (or whiskey). We discuss our businesses (most of us own some form of small business) crafts, motherhood, and work on various craft projects together.

We also just chew the fat and like to talk shop about all things womanly, motherly, and crafty.

Best,
Brooke

Thanks Alee! Yes, almost all of our Puddletown Peaches farmgirls have had or DO have our own shops in town/online... sell at the amazing farmers markets here...and participate in the many craft fairs that happen regularly.

For a little city, Portland has that small town feel. We're lucky!

Busy, and lucky.

HUGS!
Brooke
