I was given 2 cases of poblano peppers. Rather than freeze then and take the space in the freezer I would like to dehydrate them. Do I just wash, cut into pieces and dehydrate?
thanks!

I think you are supposed to quick blanch them first but I have seen strings of whole dried peppers, the way it has been done for centuries, so probably whatever you feel like. Or try it both ways and see what is best. Then let us know.....

from what I read you don't have to blanch them. I cut them up and just arranged on the dehydrator sheets. I got all but 3 of a case into the dehydrator. I think I will roast the rest and store in the freezer. If I don't over fill the bag It should lay kind of flat.
the mangos are taking up much room in the freezer. :-)

they look and smell great! They are approaching 24 hours in the dehydrator.. didn't think they would take this long. oh well.. It was easy and will save me space in the freezer.
