Nora was sleeping away in her afternoon nap. I kept hearing short little cries and would go peek in on her. She was still asleep. Finally she woke up and was crying continually. She is getting in some more molars and I am sure her mouth is really sore. Poor baby. So not only is she teething, she is tired!

If you have a Rite Aid pharmacy or health food store nearby something that REALLY helped my little ones is Chamomile Teething Tablets. You just let them disolve in their mouth and not only does it help the pain of teething but it also helps them to relax and sleep well. You'll get a better night sleep!!

Thanks for the suggestion Misty! We usually have some teething tablets on hand...but someone...I won't name any names...decided they might make a good boat in the toilet! *UGH* So they had to be disposed of!

Oh teething tablets are wonderful...used them for my grandaughter and alot of my daycare parents would send them for their babies. I didn't know about them when my two oldest (homemade) kids were babies...it would have been nice.
I hope she feels better way sooN!!

Oh No! Now I am wondering if it IS teething after all! She has a bit of a fever and a really stuffed up nose! She just woke up crying again and only wanted to be held. I think being held upright helped the drainage so I tucked a folded crib blanket under her pillow and put the fan to blow on her bed. So she is back asleep again and I am just waiting for Doug to get home so I can go get more tablets and such. I try to not medicate her too much, but some days you can just tell they need a little help.

Teeth can cause cold like symptoms. Can you give her a little Motrin or Tylenol to hold her over? Maybe not a full dose, but something to ease the pain. Do you have a humidifier?? Rub some baby Vicks on her chest and back and cover her up good. (((HUGS)))

Hi Heather- Those are all good suggestions but we are out of Tylenol and she is asleep hopefully for the night already. I am going to try to have her tough it out until tomorrow when I have to run errands anyway. Poor kiddo.

I just went through this not long ago with Sully. Luckily the worst only lasts a few days, so hopefully she will be feeling better soon!

hope your little gal gets to feeling better soon.
fruit juice popsicles might make her feel better. Of course if you give her a popsicle with one of those wooden sticks you still have to be careful. If you have those plastic handled popsicle makers those are great..little hands can hold them and you can make popsicles from blended fruit and so forth.
And when she gets to feeling better and no cold you can even make popsicles from homemade pudding..and make pudding pops.
Anyhow..I hope your wee gal gets to feeling better.

How is little Miss Nora today?? I hope she is feeling better. Zach has molars that are about half way through the gums now. And occasionally he gets to be a grumpy little monster b/c of them!

I discovered the power of the organic popcicle though! He loves them and it really soothes the pain. I like the idea of making our own popcicles! We are going to try that.

Hugs,
Jamie

I am thinking it wasn't teeth after all since all three of us are sniffly, congested and all over sick. I thought she was pulling out of it yesterday, but I think it was just the eye of the storm. If we are all still sick on Friday, I will be forced to take her to the doctor. There have been a few times that I could hear the rattle in her chest as she was trying to breathe. She is on an over-the-counter cold medicine to thin the mucus (pharmacist approved). It helps keep the rattle away, but her mucus isn't clear so I know there is an infection in there.
