Marly, isn't it a beautiful thought? all of us farm girls together and you know, I see us like a big wonderfully colourful patchwork quilt, all of us different, but connected by the same common threads =)

we are having a big country-style breakfast for dinner =P
So, I'm posting and cooking!

All of you dear ladies have a good evening!

Annika is love the comment about us being like a quilt. And we are all connect by a common thread. MJF! You girls enjoy your walk and I think I'll grab me a lap quilt. It's a little chilly. We'll have tea ready for you when you get back!

Blessings, Brenda

Sunny but cold here. I made a pot of the maple tea, smells just like maple syrup. It is a fun morning, I'm watching the birds, four woodpeckers taking turns at the suet. (a red belly, two hairys and a downy)
Enjoy your Saturday!

I enjoy chatting with my friends.

It's windy and cool, but a beautiful day here. I'm off to look for a wooden crochet hook! Trying the quilt shop first =D good excuse huh?
Yesterday after my doctors appointment, I stopped at the Hope center thrift and bought a whole bag of wonderful sewing patters for about 4 dollars! Various eras and styles...kind of bohemian in my personal style and I found some darling ones! New patterns are getting so spendy!

I hope that everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to enjoy a bit of spring!

Hugs all'round!

So nice that you have joined us Deborah! Our porch gatherings are very comfortable and fun. We have some great chats here and some real yummy goodies. That short cake and strawberries sound wonderful and you can't go wrong with a good cup of tea. Think I sit a spell and join you.

Blessings, Brenda

Good morning! I brought the newspaper along to browse through, so many ads and coupons. Mmmm a little of that strawberry shortcake please.
Darn, Chico (#1 dog) had another coon treed this morning. I just don't want to take a chance on our chickens. We have two hens setting now, along with the eggs we have in the incubator. So before long should have some chicks, I'm thinking the end of this week for the incubated ones.
Have a wonderful day.

Marcie,
I think I will look at the paper with you. Welcome Deborah. I love how our little family is growing here. It is sunny here but breezy but so nice to see the sun after a spring rain yesterday. I brought along some raspberry tea that I just got. It is tasty.

hugs and blessings

Would homemade M&M cookies go with raspberry tea? I just took a batch out of the oven, so they are warm and fresh! Cold and rainy on my porch today, but so good for the garden!

Hi. I'm Angie and brand new to this site. I don't know if you're allowing anymore new people in but I would love to join you girls. I got a mag givin to me by my mother, who knows where she got it. I wanted to find the virtual porch in it. It just seemed so fun.

Hi Angela!! Welcome to MJF!! Your going to love it here! Anyone is welcome to this porch, young, old, wise, beautiful, new, etc. The ladies one this porch are just wonderful and friendly! Their is a chair next to Karrieann if you would like to sit down. And towards your left their are fresh baked cookies, coffee, tea, and milk. So put your stuff down, come on over and enjoy! Can't wait to get to know you better!!
Hugs,
Channah

Yay, a new porch sitter! There is always room on the porch... I just made some granola for the first time and it smells lovely! Hopefully it will turn out good. I cut out some stamps for your cause Karrieann, if you are still collecting them... I hope so!
