Thanks Megan, I am really enjoying my course, it has been good for my brain.

It has been beautiful here today, 64* right now. I got out and weeded and my nephew came and weed wacked for me. The yard looks great. Tulips, Daffs, Hyacinth...makes me smile. Now it is time for some tea and a nice chat.

For tomorrow and its needs I do not pray, but keep me, guide me, love me, Lord just for today.

I have a thing for banana bread this week, I made some today with blueberries, and tomorrow I will add cherries. So girls you need to help eat it or I'll be tempted to eat it all, and thats a very bad thing. I also noticed that some of my Iris's are sending up their flower stalks, and its a pale yellow one that is scented, it smells like butter cream frosting to me. The weather was very spring like today, and we have a chance for light rain next week so all is good.

Julia, my Mom's flowers are starting to come up too! I love spring so much. Everything on the porch does sound so good: breads, cookies, and teas!

Wow what a few days I have had. Got the garden in other than the corn, potatos and pole beans. Oh and still have to plant melons. Hollyhocks are up. So are the first zinnias. Sunflowers are knee high now. Have to get the new cutting garden in. Oh and my daughters got me blueberry plants and I got them planted. Peach and apricot trees have blooms. Hubby caught 2 of the gophers that ate all my spring lettuce. So guess I will replant that too when I know he has caught them all. I found a little time to make a pineapple upside-down cake (used splenda for hubby but still good). Now a cup of coffee, piece of cake and some rest for my poor back. Cross stitching a baby blanket for new grandson. Sigh! Life is good. Join me ladies. One of my sunflowers is starting too bloom. We can watch the birds. Pretty sunset.

Every Day is a gift from God, Rejoice and be glad in it.

Marly, I'd love to take a walk. Wait a second while I grab a sweater.
Our 30% rain has turned to 100%. Maybe I had better bring an unbrella too. lol
I'll drop some chocolate chip cookies off on the porch and bring a few for us and any other takers.
Sitting or walking it is always nice to be with friends.

I'm trying out a new recipe today for a carrot-raisin bread. Whole meal and low sugar, so my diabetic sweetie can have some =) I'll bring some by later.

Trying to keep up with spring shedding from my many pets UGGG!

I was challenged by one of my second grade boys to a race tomorrow. He apparently thinks us mid fortysomething's can't run. What is more amazing? I said yes...good gracious me running is not my cup of tea. But my running shoes and me are taking a sprint tomorrow. If I don't make it back to the porch...you can assume I didn't survive the race...heheheheh

... I sure am looking forward to when the days are a bit warmer. I sure miss sitting on our porch during the evenings, listening to critters and catching glimpse of the lovely fireworks show of the Amplacintion! I know... I know... such big word for fireflies! *snorts* Hey I can go for a cup of tea... ohhh, anyone got a spare shawl that I use for a bit?

I'm cheering for Tammy, too. Go girl!!!
It is sunny and cold here. Join me in the sunroom while it is cold.
Enjoy your day. I made some of Annika's peanut butter cookies to share. And I have a pot of blueberry cobbler coffee here.

Go Tammy!!!! A good run never hurt anyone! LOL.
Marcie, ready for our walk. Please, bring some of your chocolate chip cookies.
The porch is sure crowded tonight with the farmgirls. What a wonderful sight!
