Peach ginger iced tea, owwwww that sounds so good. Our weather is terrible here 60 MPH winds, needless to say several neighbors have roof damage. We have metal roof so no damage here. Thank goodness, just lots of limbs laying around all over the pastures and the yard.

Megan, we are going to come out to Wisconsin to look at a farm that is for sale there. It is in the middle of the state. I can't wait for vacation and the trip. I think your weather is about the same as ours here in Northern Idaho, however, we have not had the sunshine that you have, in fact weather man just said snow down to 1500 feet. BRRRRRRRRR

I'm so beat! Today was a good day at school, then I had a good afternoon. I had track practice, I did my homework, and all is good! I've even found time to crochet! Hope everyone else is good, and God bless you all.

My day was off to a bang...I had to give a detention before the day began....I have not had to give a detention in years...It about broke my heart...but this little girl had pushed the boundaries and had previous consequences and needed something to get her to realize that she has to think about her choices. I am praying tomorrow is better...so came to porch to relax and just be...anyone got a cup of tea.

hugs
Tammy

Does anyone have some hot lemon tea with honey? I am feeling so sick today. :( And I have science class tomorrow too. :(
I just got it from milking my goats and getting them ready for the night and oh it was so cold and pooring down rain. I was blowing my nose all the way up to the house. lol
I hope you all had a good day!

My day has been hectic as well. I think there's something in the air! I had to sit and watch my 18 m/o play in her new bathtub for over an hour and a half this morning! So I was running late all day. Then she insisted on another bath before dinner, so it was over an hour late gettin done. UGH! Half my stuff didn't get done today. I would have tried to stop her more, but she's terrified of water. The bathtub is too big, the shower sends her into screaming fits, and the kitchen sink drain is apparently gonna eat her or something. Then two days ago my DH plops this big blue tub in the middle of my kitchen and starts filling the bottom with water and soap bubbles telling little Martha to put her toys in it. Then he turns on her favorite cartoon and tells her she can watch tv from her new tub! Now she won't get out of it till she's a raisin and is cold as ice! I swear I ought to drag the thing outside so I can hang my sheets and feed the animals. Maybe I'll put it on the porch tomorrow and have her watch her chickens so I can at least read for a while without hearing the 'Kipper' song.

I just bought some chamamile honey tea. It is so great. I have been feeling poorly too. I have a pinched nerve from an old car accident injury. I can't feel the left side of my body! I can still move but the numbness is so frustrating! Everyone is busy and here I sit!!!

It's all good!

I brought little Martha to the porch with me this morning. She's been in this blue tub for a half hour already. No one sit to close to it unless you want your feet washed! LOL!

Angela, Martha sounds like a cute little toddler! :) Channah, I hope you feel better! I spent the better part of my afternoon after school at the library. But I did get some stuff done for school, so it was definitely not a waste of time!

Here's an easy recipe for those hot days, or raspy throats, or just because it tastes great! Use that fresh mint you're growing......for the garnish!
Lemon Ice
1 cup sugar
3 cup water
heat to a boil, so sugar dissolves...then take off heat and stir in
1 cup lemon juice, pour into glass baking dish in freezer.....let it chill until it starts to thicken...an hour or so....take it out of the freezer and stir it again, adding some fresh grated lemon zest....put back in freezer and chill till solid...a couple more hours or over night is fine...
scrape it with a spoon, and serve it in pretty little glass dishes(fancy water or wine glasses are fun) and top it off with a sprig of mint...
easy and tastes refreshing! Enjoy! you can split the 1 cup of lemon juice,
and use 1/2 cup lemon juice and 1/2 cup limoncello(liquer) if you want to get real fancy!
made some of this the day before yesterday and enjoyed it today when the Heat Index hit 105'....it was a scorcher today! I still have some if anyone wants to try it!
That camomile tea sounds awfully good!

Just stopping by the porch on the way home from the Florist, did a marathon week there, helping out with all the mother's day orders...we worked from 8am -1230(midnightish) friday and til nine last night, today til 3pm...I'm pooped!
I'd love some of that Raspberry zinger tea! Did you know Raspberry tea is good for your uterus....for those that still have one...LOL! I used to make it for my daughter when she was on her period...not sure if it helped with PMS, but just the thought of a little Added TLC was always comforting......
