hey ladies,
just hopping on here before lunch. It is a rainy day here but that is ok. We can use the rain. I am hoping to get my walk in later if the rain gives a break. The sky this morning was such a beautiful color. I was in awe. No I did not take a picture. I didn't think of it...must have been because I had not had my morning tea.

I have been enjoying the days with a little lax in my schedule. My flowers are coming along and I am enjoying playing in the dirt. Not that I have a green thumb but I do have fun.

Peggy I had to chuckle about some purple in your hair. I think it will look beautiful but of course that is my favorite color.

Judy hope you get that new fridge. How is Patsy doing? Had her on my mind.

Shannon so glad you have a house and that your test went well. I will pray your other house sells quickly.

well my tummy is telling me it is lunch time so off I go.
Yall have a merry day.
love to you all
Tammy

A month ago today, my dear, sweet Jim went home to be with his loved ones. I can't get my head n heart wrapped around it all because it happened so fast, but am keeping busy "one day at a time." Today I was chased inside by a thunderstorm, but not before I put some sweet potato eyes in my raised bed that Jim made me a couple years ago. It has been taken over by some black raspberry canes loaded with fruit. This fall, I will take them out and plant nearby.

Last night, the investigator working on our Mesothelioma case had 4 of my kids n me in a phone conference. Next month we will get a case number and they are trying to contact people that Jim worked with back in Ohio at 2 places that used products that had asbestos in them.

Well, I'm tired after washing our truck. It was going on 9 when I got done and now I need to go spray a hornet nest in the shed and it's up high and if I shine a light at it to find it, that makes me a target, right? Well, somebody has to do it.. guess who?

Love n prayers to you all and thanks for all the goodies.. I nibbled each and tasted the teas. very nice.. toodles...

Sweet Patsy - you are in my prayers! I'm glad you're able to take it one day at a time.

We have left for our family vacation! We are at my parents tonight, and then tomorrow morning head out to Alberta. We were suppose to leave tomorrow, but my husband ended up not having to work today, which he found out at 6:30pm last night...so guess who was running around like CRAZY last night!! :D I'll stop in when I can...but it may not be often :)

Hi Patsy...so glad that you checked in and let us know what is up with you. I am afraid that I don't have any
confidence in Class Action Law Suits. The only people who get in $ out of them are the Attorney's who file them.
My mom was in a Class Action against the Pharmaceutical Co. who produced the medication that took my dad's
kidneys 15 years ago. But nobody got any money but the Lawyers. Then a friend of mine is on one against the
Yaz pills and she almost died from huge blood clots caused by the medication. The only thing that kept her
from death is God and the fact that she was a non smoker. My Mom was asked if she wanted to join the Mesothelioma
class action as her lungs are encased in a hard shell from being around asbestos when we lived in Montana...she
said, "No!" after her experience with dads case. So, all that to say...you are probably wasting your time and
energy and helping lawyers to line their pockets.

Joyce...have fun on your Vacation!!!

Well girls I am off to The Beach in the Morning. So, probably won't hear from me until Monday Night or Tues.
Have a great weekend everyone.

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Hi ladies -

Been MIA for a while, but life just seems to keep getting in the way. I'm scheduled for my hysterectomy next Wednesday, but during the pre-op testing, they found I have moderately high blood pressure. I've never had high BP in my life, so not sure what's causing it (stress?), but I've started on some meds to try to lower it, and hopefully the surgery will still go on as planned. Meanwhile, my boyfriend had routine blood work done and his doctor found that his platelet count is very low and he has a high protein level in his urine. She wants him to go to a specialist, and he's digging his heels in. I'm more scared for him than for me at this point. Did I mention stress????

Just came home from my Mom's where I got her cemetery flowers planted for her, and did some spring things around her house that she can't do alone now. She will probably be back in the fall to spend the winter here.

I can't keep up with commenting for everyone, but please know that you are all in my prayers and I think of you often and try to keep up with reading posts.

Thanks for all the goodies on the porch - they're great and no calories (especially since the doctor told me to lose weight and exercise more)!!!

Love to you all -

Luanne

Peggy: First off, this is NOT a class action lawsuit. It's a team of Mesothelioma lawyers, that's all they do. If they want paid, they have to work for it. Jim's cousin's hubby passed away 5 years ago from the same thing and she told me it would be well worth my while. She told me that two different times, so guess it don't hurt to try.

You all have a good weekend and know that you're in my thoughts and prayers.

Patsy...so glad to hear that!!! I will pray that you get compensation...even though I know you would
rather have Jim back than money. When something is woefully wrong people should be compensated for it.

Luanne...will be praying for both your boyfriends stubbornness and your BP and upcoming surgery. o

One more hour and I'm out the door for the Beach. Suppose to be in the 70's at The Coast but in the 90's
here. I wish my stubborn man would come but he wants to be by himself. Would have given our son some
male companionship...oh, well. I understand introverted people like alone time but I don't want him
grieving for Daniel more than he already is. This is so hard because he is so very close to his son.

Have a Fabulous Weekend Girls and get out and enjoy God's Beautiful Handiwork.

Love, Hugs and Blessings,
Peggy

Happy Monday ladies,
After a very stormy weekend, it is a beautiful sunny day here. I spent my morning picking up branches and straightening flower pots, etc from the wind we had. The rain was needed although some areas got more than they wanted.

Patsy so glad to see you hear and I will continue to pray for you. HOpe those bees didn't get you.

Peggy I wish I was at the beach with you. I would love to do that. Someday I hope to.

Well not much happening. Yall have a great day.
love and hugs

Patsy - Yay! So glad you got it!!! I had started something homemade, but with all that is going on here, they didn't get done... so I'll save them for next year :) Continuing to pray for you! <3 Here recently I have been continuously reminding myself that no matter what life hands me/us, God is sovereign He knows all about it, more importantly is in control, and He will see me/us through it!

Joyce - I sure hope you are enjoying your family vacation, but man I miss you! Looking forward to your return :)

Peggy - hoping you too are enjoying your weekend getaway! Hopefully the weather has been nice and you enjoyed the beach.

TLTammy - we had a lot of rain in the middle of last week, yet still need more! Hopefully we'll get some later this week!

I harvested my first cucumber yesterday. Yum! We also harvested all of our garlic - not sure if I had posted that already or not - sometime last week. Been trying to get things packed. It's kinda rough, because you never know what to leave out, lol. I started packing some books (we have a TON) and part of my kids wanted books already packed, smh. So I guess I need to start with soothing else :)

Hi all! We've had rain showers too. Last evening while we were enjoying a back-yard fire, burning a couple weenies and marshmellies, then again this afternoon. A little shower didn't stop us last night and it didn't stop my neighbor out at her grill this afternoon. She had her raincoat on, hood up. *giggle* Too cute! We Ohioans won't be stopped when it comes to food prep. hahahahahaha A hardy lot we are!
Shannon, I too got my tea package. So nicely put together.. Thank you! We are having temps in the low 70's today so may have a cuppa later this evening when it gets cool. Enjoyed reading about the teas too!
Thank you again!

Hi, Shannon. I received your tea package this morning! Yippee! Honestly, I can't believe how you kept yourself together to get all of this together...well, yeah. I guess I can. Its just a Shannon thing. Anyway, I sat right down and enjoyed the breakfast tea. Yum. Loved the history. You will love this...DH googled the Tea Plantation after I received your postcard. Then he googled more info after your package came. Guess we will be visiting the plantation if we make it back to Charleston. Loved the tucks!

My son whose in computer communications in the AF thought it was weird that my computer gave me a "temporary account". But hey, after I managed to get the password to work, it got me back on MY desktop, so yay me!

Hello ladies,

Shannon I got your lovely package today. It was a sweet surprise in the mail. Thank you

Peggy glad you had a wonderful trip to the beach. Hope to hear more. Will pray for your hubby to feel better soon.

Judy I was thinking a rain coat and grilling would be a great picture....that is too cute.

Patsy glad you got the nest down and your desktop too.

well ladies, I just thought I would pop in with some strawberry scones and fresh iced peach tea as it is 94 today here. Rain later this week. But most of us welcome a few dry days to let things dry up a bit.

enjoy and have a great day

Got home from the hospital yesterday afternoon and my tea package was here. What a nice surprise - thank you Shannon! I've head of the tea plantation thru the Tea Shop Mystery series of books, and Charleston is on my list of places to visit someday.

My surgery went well, now it's just going to take time to heal.

Hugs,
Luanne

Well My Porchies...Awfully Quiet on The Porch...hope that means everyone is out having FUN in the SUN!!!

Tammy...the first three days at The Coast was very overcast and Gray...so we went shopping and sight seeing. Our
Condo was right above a Little Parisian Bistro that did wonderful coffee and delicious crepes. So adorable and so
yummy. The Latte I got was so good...that I bought a second one...and I have never done that in my life. I just
had to have more!!! They had about 10 types of crepes to choose from and I think we all ordered a different kind.
And nobody shared theirs. Delightfully good...so we were very piggish. LOL The day we packed up to leave Lincoln
City the weather turned beautiful and so we made our way to Cannon Beach and actually went and played on the Beach
for awhile. It was 74 and sunny...but windy. We played in the water...took lots of pictures. Then we went to Tillamook
Cheese Factory as we wanted Tillamook Ice-Cream but the line was clear across the store and 5 deep. We were at
the Factory for 45 minutes and gave up on getting ice-cream. I bought some smoked Cheese and my husband some
Marion Berry Fudge. ~ The second day at the Coast I gave Elijah his first hair cut. He looks so cute with those
long curls gone. He looks like a little man now...and now no one will tell us what a cute girl he is. LOL. We saved
the curls for his baby book. ~ The third night we bought a bottle of wine and some fresh Crab and went back to
the Condo and pigged out on fresh crab and a lovely pair salad...then we played board games until late. It was
all very fun and relaxing and so enjoyable

When I got home DH was sicker than when I left. The man never takes care of himself when I am gone. He ended up having
to get in to our Dr. on an Emergency Visit, which led to two more Dr. Apptments, 4 prescriptions and a chest exray.
He is still quite ill with Bronchitis and a swallowing problem.
I have been nursing him every since I got home...but If I can keep him out of the Hospital it will be a good thing.

Also, after we got back from the Beach Shane came down with what Larry has and he has been out of work all week. And
our sweet Christian Neighbor has been sick too...but he has been throwing up and coughing. Pray that I don't come
down with this girls...I don't need it or want it....but people are dropping around me like flies. Whew!

Luanne...I am glad that your surgery is behind you now. I hope you will find that you feel better than you have for
a very long time. Rest when you need to and don't push yourself to do too much.

OK my girlies...I'm off to Dream Land. I have been sleeping a lot this week. The weather has been "Perfect" but it
always takes me awhile to bounce back from even having a FUN time doing something. Well, worth it though.

Have a Super Duper Weekend...go play hard and ENJOY YOURSELF,
Peggy

Happy, Blessed SonDay girlies! We have wind, sun, clouds, already had a short shower, and just a crazy morning weather-wise. Actually we've had that all week. We had a couple of 90 degree days then low 80's.
That's where I like to stay since I can't do sun or humidity anymore. I don't know where we'd be without our breezes. I fear it would be stifling.
Patsy will be here around the 24th, as she is coming up again with her SIL and will be here a couple of months. We have a lot of hugging, crying, laughing 'n reminiscing to do.
Well Porch-Buds, make it Great day! Love yuns! God Bless!

Joyce...hope your Vacation was Funtabulus!!!! Come back and share some highlights!

Judy...Oh, girl I am so Happy that Patsy is coming for a long stay! You girls will have some
Awesome Sissy time. Give each other hugs from me!!! You both deserve to share some love and
Happy Tears (though I am sure there will be some sad ones too). But God gives us the gift
of "Memory" for a very good reason. It seems like we just naturally want to remember the "Good
Times" and forget the bad ones and that is how it should be. I miss my Sis and I feel so
thrilled for you two to have this precious time together.

Hot here today. I took the dog out and the sidewalk sizzled I swear! Nice'n Cool in my air-
conditioned apartment though. We are staying in doors this weekend...so hopefully hubby can get well.
He really should be in the Hospital but I think he thinks he is going to die (like his brother
and sister did...if he goes in). I understand his thinking but it isn't rational.

Off to read or color or do something to amuse myself. I could clean...but that would take more energy
than I want to expend. After all it is a day of REST right?

Love and Big Hugs to All My Porchies,
Peg

Hello ladies!!

Life is still busy around here. Guess it is going to be that way for a while. The baby is starting to nap a little better during the day, we got a portable sound machine we can put wherever he is and that seems to be helping!! My husband got home last Wednesday but I have so much to catch up with now I haven't had much rest! I'm still waiting for the German tax number I had to get to even apply for home based business approval so still in limbo with that! Go figure. However I have been working on starting up our Classical Conversations program here and that is going very well! I have 10 interested families. Of course they probably won't all end up enrolling but it is certainly a great start for a week's worth of work! I am holding info meetings starting Sunday and have four scheduled over the next two weeks so we should get enrollments then. I am working on finding a location, I've emailed the churches here but none of them have answered, I have a lady helping and checking on the chapel and library for me so hopefully I hear back form some of them this week! Overall it is going great. It will be a lot of work in the beginning but should even off after we get started in the fall.

Shannon I got the tea package, what lovely tucks! Thanks so much and I look forward to trying the teas! I lived in Charleston from the time I was 8 until I was 12 so seeing the Rainbow Row brought back sweet memories, I always meant to drive up there when we lived in Savannah but never got around to it. Also getting your package reminded me I need to get to work on mine!!!

Patsy I'm still praying for you.

Well I'm off again to try to take advantage of the baby sleeping! I could use a nap myself but have a million things to do as always! I wouldn't have it any other way though. My husband is home for a month and is taking about 10 days of leave during that time and you should see my list of things to get done before he leaves again!!!

Morning everyone! Summer has surely started here in the Lowcountry! We are hitting the 100s with heat index 5 to 10 degrees hotter! Bleck! Been trying to get more things packed and ready. So much to do! I pulled my back last week... it has forced me to slow down a little! And yet it hasn't helped our to-do list at all! We went to Home Depot yesterday and picked up some odds and ends. Hopefully things will start coming together soon. I also sent out an e-mail yesterday requesting if anyone is able to help, please let me know. So far no one has responded. I'm pretty sure we will get help from the church, and possibly some of the guys from Brad's work, but with it being Monday, in the heat of the summer, I'm a little worried. Worst case scenario hubby, the kids, and I will do it on our own. God is faithful and will see us through!

Peggy - how is your hubby feeling?

Luanne - how is healing going?

Judy - so glad you and Patsy will be together for awhile! I'm sure you will both find that time healing!

Sabrina - so so busy you are! Please try to take it easy (coming from another momma that doesn't sit still long, hehehe). Enjoy your time with your hubby!!!

Sabrina and Shannon...so glad that you both could hop up on The Porch this morning and shoot the breeze for awhile.

Sabrina...when I was your age I thought I was Wonder-Woman but my type A personality finally caught up with me in
the form of Extreme Fibro/Chronic Fatigue/3 types of Arthritis...you need to find some "ME TIME" and slow down
a bit or your health will pay the consequences later. I recognize your "Well, nobody else will do it and there is
a Need...So I Will Do It" Attitude. Learn to say "NO" once in awhile (even to yourself) and learn that every great idea is NOT a Calling
from God. LOL!!! Slow down and smell the roses girl!!! And wouldn't your husband be shocked if he came
home for those 10 days and you had nothing for him to do but spend an endless 10 days of family time doing
FUN things instead of chores. Also, I use to counsel women to get up occasionally and say, "God, whats on your Agenda
for Us Today??" Agenda's and To-Do-Lists are great to a point but more times than not they are more harmful to those
around you than your realize. They can be a JOY killer. Learn to live more in the Moment...your kids and husband
will thank you and love you for it.

Shannon...I hope your back is doing better. Let others do the heavy lifting. I know us Take-Charge-Women don't like
to wait around for help...but your body is going through enough... caring that wee one with out you beating it up
some more girl!!! I am praying that you get more help than you expect you will for the big move.

To Both of You Sweet Women...I know my Advice is Unsolicited and may not even be appreciated but hey it's FREE!! LOL
You can Take it or Leave it...but I do have a Certification in Counseling Women...and many years of Women's Ministry
and Teaching Women's Issues & Needs in Bible College. So, I'm not saying any of this to Judge or Be Rude. I am
really legit-ably concerned...and I recognize myself in you. I had to learn the hard way and I'm just trying to
spare you that. And please don't feel picked on...Judy will tell you that I often "Go Where Angels fear to Tread."
And because my advice was unsolicited you can also tell me to "SHUT UP" and I will try. But it's hard to go against
what I know to be FACT and Truth.

OK, another Gorgeous and HOT day here. I need to get some more work done this morning but I also want to finish a
Coloring picture from my Johanna Brasford Coloring Book for Adults. I started it last night and it was so therapeutic
because it is a Lion in The Forest...but my anger towards the FDA, Federal Prosecutors, and a Corrupt System led me
to color this Lion as a Devourer. I call the picture..."Injustice" I will try to Post a Picture when I get it finished.

Have a Beautiful Day and Try To Make Someone Else Happy Today,
Peggy

There wasn't much to highlight Peggy :) My favourite part was in the foothills staying in a very nice hotel :) It seems my life is pretty calm and placid...so I don't have much to say - but know I'm checking and praying for you all often!
