Dear Farmgirls Across the Miles,

You are cordially invited to attend the Septembr 18, 2010, Apron Gathering in Kansas City, MO.

Shoal Creek Living History Museum will be hosting a Farm Fair in conjunction with our Apron Gathering.

There will be events for farmgirls only as well.

There will be a 'sweet repeat cookbook exchange", County Fair Judging of canning, preserving, handwork, bakegoods and a photo contest.

Shoal Creek is the back drop for a quilt show on the grounds. We hope to have over 100 quilts to dazzle for the day.
Master Gardner programs, quilting classes, demonstrations and food abound.

The airport is 10 - 15 minutes . If anyone would like a shuttle please let me know.
Camping available on the grounds with no hook ups. Tents welcome too.
A campground is a few miles to the East in Liberty MO.

Farmgirls will provide signature quilt blocks in advance, if possible. This is a SPECIAL project!! The signature quilt block will be listed on our blog.

If there is enough interest on Friday , we can arrange a morning tour of the organic dairy named Shatto Milk company. www.shattomilk.com

Sept. 18, 2010, Save the date. Hotels, casinos, restaurants and shopping very near by.

Thank and look forward to seeing you in the fall.

Hello, my friend started our local chapter about two years ago but it never really got off the ground. I recently joined and we are wanting to attract new members. We will be placing the press release in the local paper next month.Facebook has been very helpful and we are buying a booth at our local famers market. My friend can't find the chapter starter kit and I was wondering if I could get some advice. I want this to be fun and I think we should have a social gathering of sorts to see what talent is out there. I would love some advice on how to get this up and running and maybe some fun ideas to get us all aquainted. Thanks for your help in advance.

FARMGIRLS SOUTHWEST HENHOUSE . . .
. . we are a "virtual" henhouse because we are scattered from Pennsylvania to California.
However, we are getting organized and doing some "clucking" and planning our SPRING PROJECT which is to help provide seeds, plants and other gardening supplies to a family, community garden or other gardening need in our own communities.
We're planning "collectively" but working in our own community.

Just wanted to share . .
