I like the chicken cards. Do you sell them? If so I am interested.

Making a cloth pumpkin. Quilt shop in town went out of business last week so I stocked up on fall color fabric. Sometime this month sisters will be here for a craft day. We're be making pumpkins and chickens. I wanted a finished pumpkin to show them. Made the little chicken yesterday. Last year we made pine needle brooms on wooden spoons & dried fruit wreaths.

Denise, I would like to show them to you but I don't know how to load pictures. And to be honest, I'm really not interested in learning how. It all seems too complicated for me to master with short term memory problems and the fog of MS that hangs over me.

I was looking at crafts on the Dollar Tree Site on You Tube and they had the cutest idea of how to make some pumpkin pins.
Well I went on over to the Dollar Tree store and found some pliable, soft pumpkin ice cube trays and today I took some hot glue and filled the molds with hot glue and pulled it out and Wahlah there is the shape of a pumpkin, now all I have to do is paint and put the pin back on or magnets. How easy that was, the hard part is pulling the glue out of the mold. I will paint them later and finish and take pictures to post when I am done.
Easy Peasy, Yay!

Great for fall or Halloween.

Darlene,
I wonder if you could use something like cooking spray to make it easier to get them out of the molds?

Idon't know denise, would that work because I need to paint them now, would that stop the paint from staying on?

I probably would make it a whole lot easier though.

thanks Denise

Sara,
I don't say that to someone unless I do understand. Sometimes we don't realize things that cause limitations for others. I have a family member and a good friend who deal with the same.

Darlene,
I wonder if you used the spray and after removing them did a quick swipe with a alcohol swab if that would work for removing any film and painting after.

Sabrina, lovely ornaments. Have you thought about working on MaryJane's merit badges? There is one you can earn in crochet.

I've finally finished the quilt top I've been working on. Off it goes today (once I get the backing) to the quilters. It's a Christmas gift to my son.

I'm pretty proud of it, especially to get it finished.

Off to make a table runner or apron.

Wow!! It's beautiful, Betty!! Just curious, what is the name of the quilt block? I haven't seen that one before.

Beautiful ornaments, Sabrina! I would love to go back to crocheting with thread!
Betty, your quilt is just wonderful!
I am baking this morning. Muffins and nut breads.
I want to make something a little different for the great-grands for Christmas. (3 in one year) I found growth charts on Pinterest made of burlap upholstery strapping. I have 2 step gr-grands too. So that's 5. It will be better than marking up the kitchen wall (what was I thinking?)

Due to an emergency, I'm working on Christmas gifts before I leave. I have one more table runner to do and then I'll purchase and sew gifts at the other end.

This is a picture of just the top. I've also quilted it and am ready to hand sew the binding on. Really turned out well, if I do say so!
