Everyone's projects are so cool! I just finished 3 "pak n play" crib sheets. Working on Christmas stockings from DH's jeans and plaid shirts for gkids today. Then, hopefully, will have time for hot pads similar to yours, Katmom. Not enough hours. Also, find I am enjoying doing this instead of shopping.

First baby project:

My first attempt at a crocheted, wrap style wool cover. I used an h hook with a g hook for the gussets, cloth size 2 from the pattern but it seems very tiny to me. Maybe newborn size. I need to get out a cover and compare. I'm not convinced it will be water proof without a good bit of felting either, it seems like the weave is too loose. I could go down a hook size for a tighter weave, but then it will be even smaller. I will probably try a bigger size and maybe a smaller hook. I also still need to add buttons I just don't have the right size on hand. There are also some especially large holes around the edges.....I am being assured by others who have made these that it will work better than I expect. I guess we will find out in March!

From this pattern: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/worlds-best-diaper-cover-disposable--cloth-5-sizes-each

Next up: a wrap, a sling and a mei tie carrier (plus child sized carriers for my kids). Also some more diaper covers or longies and when my supplies come a crocheted baby blanket, a minky baby blanket, some PUL covers, fitted diapers from prefolds and other random accessories and toys. And if I can convince hubby to let me spend the money a waldorf doll for all my kids :).

going to be a busy couple months getting ready for baby!!

An easy snowman made from a sock, a bit of rice (to weight the bottom), some fiberfill, buttons and a fabric scarf. The challenge was to find white socks without some colored printing or such on them. Tube socks are recommended, but I couldn't find plain white tube socks, so I worked with ones that were not tube socks.

Made a pair of longies and a woven wrap (for babywearing) over Christmas week. The wrap isn't much to show since I don't have a model yet! I've started another pair of longies and have pieces cut out to make a mai tie and sling (but waiting for the rings for the sling). I'm going to use the scraps from those to make child size of each for my kids-just trying to decide if I should make 1 of each or 2 of each.....I did finish some of my girls' doll clothes but discovered that the package that was supposed to have fabric for one didn't have it. Luckily the company sent me more even though its been a while, just waiting for it to get here.

Now I'm off to do some cleaning.

Today I began crocheting a new throw rug. The yarn is from old t shirts that I spiral cut, then pull so that they curl into yarn. I am also cutting up 5 old t shirts that have been lurking in my dresser, so I'll have more room there. These rugs are nice for the bathroom or kitchen because if you spill something you can use the rug to sop it up (Suzie Homemaker I ain't!), and then toss it into the washer.

I just finished crocheting this afghan. When I finish something I usually put it in my closet and wait to find someone to give it to but this time I found someone...me! I hardly ever keep anything I make I usually give everything away but I was looking for a new blankie and I love the colors so I thought...why not just keep it for yourself? It's warm and soft. Now I have to get started on one that I will give away.

I've been wanting to make an art journal and so I finally bought an empty sketch book from Barnes and Noble (I swear I LIVE in that store) and this is how I decorated it.I went kind of farmgirlish using some fabric yo yo's and vintage buttons. I really like how it is coming out and I cannot wait to get started on filling it up with what else? Art!

Wow, beautiful art journal and wreath!! I have finished baby blankets another pair of longies and a ring sling but I need to take pictures to share! I am currently working on a crochet baby blanket. I've made one in the same pattern for each of my kids so I'm working on the one for the new baby. I'm running out of time on baby projects so not sure how much I'll get done before baby gets here!

and then I got to work on an Apron that will be a Valentine gift... just a simple easy peasy pattern and as always, a yoyo to decorate.

my lil Peekaboo wanted to check out the stitching... I hope she approves... lol!

I love whipping up aprons, perfect lil gift and made by hand and from the heart...

Grace, great apron.

Today I'm cutting out MaryJanes clothes pin apron to wear during the Jubilee. Won't be able to sew it up till my sister gets all her plants out of her sewing room. Can't get to the sewing machine for all the plants being wintered over.

Everyone's items are so pretty.

I injured my knee this weekend (stupid me was too close to a tree my hubby and I were cutting down and I got trapped under part of the tree top). So, I'm all set up on the sofa with my leg propped up and numerous balls of yarn around me. I've made so many crocheted dish rags over the last couple of days that I could open a store. I wish I had all my quilt stuff handy, because I could do hand stitching instead of machine stitching.
