No pics to offer at this time, but I've been working on finishing up some of my merit badges . . . in between gardening, mowing, hiking in the mountains, etc.! :D

CeeJay -

Are you embroidering the badges? Do you keep them all in one place? Or put them on different pieces of clothing?

Linda,
Yes, I am embroidering them. Not on any clothing or anything else at this point. Just finishing and backing them for . . . haven't decided yet!

Today I am working on a different apron pattern. I have also been putting together some blocks from one of Pat Speth's books - she is the nickel quilt lady. Nickel referring to the fact that all her blocks start with 5" squares. I have 3 of her books. I love her quilts, just don't have enough time to make all of them I want to. LOL!

The sun did not shine
It was too wet to play
So I sat in the house
Embellishing bottle caps today.
Kinda got clumsy with the glitter.

Here's the apron I made:

It is a bloomers apron.

Here's a picture of me wearing them. They just hang that way; they are not strapped to the legs. LOL!

Those bottle caps are cute. Are those stickers on them? Do you fill them with anything and add a magnet on the back? Would be a cute projects for my grandsons to make their mom for Christmas. They want to make her a quilt, and I may have them do that, too. LOL!

Yesterday I completed 2 more surgical caps for my boyfriend. On Fridays they are going to start wearing red scrubs tops to support our troops. They gave them red surgical caps to wear on Fridays and he asked me if I could make some with patriotic fabric. I just happened to have fabric in my stash (go figure??) and so whipped 2 up for him - one to wear and one to sell. LOL!

Someone was looking for pony beads not too long ago. I can't remember who it is. I found a pretty good size stash if anyone wants them. Unused.

Today I finished my first apple apron, made from a vintage tablecloth.

I also attached scrubbies to 16 store-bought dishcloths (a very easy project), finished my October reindeer spool ornament for the swap, finished 2 surgical caps, and made 2 Christmas table runner tops.

I'm a glutton for punishment - I signed up to have a booth at a craft fair for a Breast Cancer Reconstruction fund raiser event. It is on Oct 10, and I will be on the road for one week so only have 2-1/2 weeks to increase my stock. I've got 5 quilts I need to put binding on and I will have them for sale (though people don't like to pay prices that just barely cover the fabric, batting, and quilting expenses). I'm busy making aprons, microwave bowl potholders, microwave baked potato bags, and cup cozies if I have time.

I have been working on organizing all our digital photos, scanning all our old photos, and organizing them all. I have burned them onto CDs (I also backed them up elsewhere), and now I am making little CD cases out of leftover scrapbooking supplies. Here is a photo of what I have completed so far:

Love everyone's projects . . . very crafty and creative farmgirls.

I finally finished embroidering the last merit badge that I've earned! YAY! I haven't earned all three levels on a few of them, so I'm going to work on intermediate and expert on a couple.

Linda, I would love the microwave bowl pattern as I haven't one yet! Thank you! You are so generous!

Joanna, those CD covers are so sweet! I'm not very creative when it comes to paper crafts. I do admire the papers though.

I also figured out who needed the pony beads. So, that's all good!

I just finished knitting two pairs of fingerless gloves. My older son said, "Mom, why bother? Your fingers are still going to get cold."
I said, "I love these gloves! They keep your whole wrist and hand warm while they allow your fingers to move!" I think I just might have to make a few more pairs, especially seeing as we are supposed to be in for another freezing cold winter which I am not looking forwards to at all.

hugs,
Marcy

I love fingerless gloves - I also make them without the individual fingers, just a thumb hole on the side.

Thanks, I tend to be better with paper crafts than sewing. I admire the aprons! Would love to make some.
