Love the quilt and sweater. I never learned to knit. I had a 3 year old ask me if I knit and when I told him no, he turned to his buddy and told him that "old people" know how to knit. So that's my excuse! LOL :) Sharon, that quilt is adorable! I've done a lot of sewing, but never tackled a quilt. I'll have to put that on my do do list.

Today I will be testing my hostess skills, yesterday I made plans for tonight to have a couple from our church over for dinner. We'll be cooking pork shops and potatoes from the farmers market, plus some asparagus from the store. We're breaking into our costco stockpile of biscuit mix, and I'll be making little caprese bites as an appetizer since my basil is the perfect size for it. I haven't decided on dessert, I'll probably buy a pie or a quick cookie mix and call it a day. I spent all of yesterday afternoon cleaning and my house looks fantastic now, I'm excited to have people over!

Rachel having guest is always exciting and fun. A friend of mine has always kept a hostess book. Whether it's a luncheon, dinner, or a tour of her gardens she has her guests sign the book. I do it too but am not as faithful about it as she is.

just finished up a fun lil project...
I am sure many of you have made these...

I lined the back side with denim,,, blanket stitched together..

I can put my cell phone in the opening and in the button (pocket) I can put an ID and cash and lip gloss...
I found the blingy jeans in the trash bin at our local Thrift,, asked the clerk if I could cut off the pocket and she handed my a pair of scissors... Whoot Whoot,,, free! my favorite price.
I hand washed and then I dried the pocket when I got home, then got busy stitchin'.
This lil project didn't end up in my UFO stash! lol!

Grace, cute pocket.
Peggy, pretty wreath.

I've seen pictures of jean pockets sewn on quilted placemats to hold the silverware. Each pocket was decorated differently.

Hi Sharon...I am still doing crafting but don't remember to share very often.

Mainly I have been coloring up a storm. I really love doing that!

Rarely do Swaps any more either but I still hang out on The Virtual Porch.

Good to hear from you!!!

Love and Hugs,
Peggy

Today i worked more on downsizing and organizing tubs of ufo's, craft supplies sofrtedd into like tubs, fabric stash, tyoes of yarn. Got alot done...a few more tubs to go. Flooding sure makes you rethink what to save...what to go. So, 3 tubs empty.
Also, tonight i shortened 3 king sized pillow cases to standard. The cases are new. So i use the left over fabric as new fabric . Add to the stash. Just 9 more to go. :)

Hi Grace ~ Don't see or hear much from Karen in the summer what with her glamping, chickens and grandbabies. Hard to nail her down for get togethers. I have learned to be patient and wait for winter when things settle down. How are you liking California living?
