WOW! I've been "out of pocket" for a while, with garden, glamping, having my daughter here for 3 weeks, etc. Not getting much crafty stuff done.
I'm loving all these projects . . . you girls are AWESOME!
Gracie, love the pocket.
SHARON . . . sooooo glad to see you back here. I've been seeing your postings on Facebook.
I DID make two clothespin bags for a customer this week . . . perhaps I'll post pics of them! :D

Don't know why I forgot to praise all those new projects you ladies have completed! Could be I was on here at 12:am. Everything is so pretty! Doll blankets, (I'll be making those soon and baby doll diapers), jeans pockets are snazzy! That sweater is a work of art! That bird wreath is really cute!

Two clothespins bags I made for a customer. She wanted them simple, but cheery. I prefer wooden COAT hangers (without the dowel for pants) but couldn't find any in my town this time. I told her that I didn't include the clothespins!

CeeJay, very nice. I'm a fan of yellow and red so the one with the cherries is my favorite.

Very cute, CeeJay! I love the cherry bag best too! Only because it reminds me of my mom. Both are very cheery!!
Just rolled out a couple of pie crusts with my mesquite rolling pin made by your hubby! Love it! I'm making a strawberry rhubarb pie. Only the second pie I ever made. Fingers crossed!

Those are so sweet! I saw them on your blog along with lavender wands and braids your DH made. Your embroidery here is adorable.

Nice to know you follow my blog Judith. CJ ~ if you've ever smelled sweet grass, you know how wonderful it is and why the Native Americans used it in their ceremonies (usually burnign the braids).

Omgosh, Darlene! You had to ask..the pie tastes delicious. DH says so too!...but it looks a wreck. I guess I had enough crust and filling for a 10" deep dish. I had a 9" pan. I filled the crust and put the top crust on like my BFF showed me. Seemed like an awful lot of crust. Put it into the oven. Luckily, I put a foil lined tray on the next rack down. The crust puffed up so you couldn't even see the fluted edge any more. (I did cut slits in the top crust like my mom did; but not diamonds like BFF did) The crust just kept puffing up and growing until it just puffed and rolled itself right off the pie onto the tray below. Sigh. I was afraid my filling would bubble up and over; but it didn't. Well, we are going to shop for a 10" deep dish pie pan tomorrow, and I will try again.

Judith, I am LOL! Well at least it tastes good! I never put a top crust on my pies and for sure I won't now! I always use a deep pie dish and I put it on a pizza pan without holes. I do a rhubarb custard that is really good. I have to get some rhubarb and freeze for winter. One time when I was a newly wed, I decided to make pies and freeze them. About 15. Well the darn dough wouldn't cooperate and I ended up throwing it in the garbage. Good thing I didn't waste the filling! That was a nightmare as I rolled and rerolled that dough. It was sticking everywhere. What a mess! LOL!

Oh Judith the incredible growing pie crust! Never had that, I use my grandmas pie crust recipe and always had good luck with it.

CJ love the clothes pin bags, they are adorable!
I have not had time to get anything done lately, but I need to spend some time doing what I like to do.
My daughter and son in law adopted a puppy over the weekend, so I have been visiting, and spending time with my grand puppy, he is a bundle of energy, and is going to give them a run for their money for sure.

I started on a quilt for my cousin yesterday. I'm making quilts for all my cousins on my dad's side as they graduate high school. Two are graduating next year, but I have a lot of stuff already to work on so I'm trying to do them early. Here are the fabrics I chose for one of them:

Ok. I confess, Old Spirit, I used Trader Joe's pie crusty! It really tastes great! I've tried making my own before..I probably over-work it, because its never turned out very well..even the no-fail recipes. So, I was just trying to put a pie together. Simple, right? Wrong. But, like I said, it tastes great!

Rachel, great the fabric!! Your cousins are going to love the quilts!

For those of you who crochet, I was just looking through Pinterest and came across a free chicken boarder. It's really cute, but I don't crochet. I saved it to my crafts board if anyone wants it. And there are lots of other boarders as well.

Aww. Thanks, Sharon. I'll be brave and try it! (We have no Trader Joe's around here.) I have made their products before and like them. I really think I tried to fit too large a crust on two small pan. I should have done what I watched my mother do...trim the crust off around the pan and then crimp. Left over crust was made into cinnamon sugar roll-ups. Duh.

My mom put the left over crust on a cookie sheet, sprinkled them with cinnamon and sugar and stuck them in the oven until they got crispy. My sister and I would eat them hot off the pan.
