I agree with Jamie! Cookies are most definitely an accomplishment. Now a bigger accomplishment would be making them last longer than a day!

Judy.....the shirt is very nice.

Jamie....so love the wreaths and the apple pie ornament is just so cute!
Denise...I know the feeling about the Kitchen Aid....my kids bought me one a couple of Christmases ago!! It was worth the wait. Just wish I had it when all the family was still around!!

Finished embroidering a flour sack towel this weekend!

Have 3 more to go but the patterns are much simpler on these and should be much quicker for me to complete!

Jaime nice work. I like red & white work.

Today I am working on the stamped apron I got from Colonial Patterns. Using two shades of orange floss.

Thanks! :)

churunga - I actually just googled "doodle reindeer" and after scrolling down a bit spotted this one.

I copied and pasted the image to Word, sized it to what I wanted, printed, cut out the deer's body and traced it onto the towel. Then I drew in the rest of it by hand. Carefully. lol

YellowRose - Just saw the pre-stamped apron thread - too cute!!!

As to redwork, I really like that look too. My 6 year old thinks I should use different colors though - he apparently thinks it looks too boring as is! lol

Jamie- I love your embroidered flour sack! I have Christmas ornaments that look just like that! It would fit in with my decorations perfectly. I will have to keep that in mind if I ever get better at embroidery.

Today I am making blocks for the Block of the Month I started in May in the Stitching and Crafting Room. I made the challenge block for August (month 4) and just posted it, and am now working on the September blocks.

Everyone is welcome to join us. Hope to see you there.

Love the deer! Nice job. I worked on a jug jacket for a coworker. She likes gray and is having a girl. Got lucky with the material! http://www.maryjanescfarm

Judy, you made me smile. I've never heard of the term "jug jacket". your color combo fabric looks perfect!

Love the hot pads! They're beautiful!! I've never been able to knit or crochet. I think it has to do with me being left handed. I'll stick to my sewing machine. :)

Thanks ladies! I feel like I have been busy... Because all I want to do is crochet while my little guy naps. Seems to be beneficial!
Judy, I wish I could use a sewing machine better. This year for Christmas I am asking for a learning sewing machine! Hopefully I can expand my horizons.

Krista, go to Crafty.com they have lots of on line lessons and if you watch you can get them on sale! I got a bra making class and made my own bra. It was fun, not perfect, but I learned a lot. They have basic ones and lots of other stuff.

Thanks Judy, I will be checking that website out!

Last night we had some rain and I had a wild hair to make a fall hat for my son! I decided to make a Heather grey newsboy hat and loved how it turned out! (The first picture is kind of dark)
