I decopaged some cloth pins to add to some of my aprons...

I used Mod Podge and then spritzed it with a coat of varathyne to seal them.

Krista, when you showed us the first pic of the pot holder, i had no idea what it would look like...wow did it turn out nice! I love the different shape!

Grace, love, love, love the clothes pins! My son painted some for me when he was young - which i still treasure - but nothing like yours - beautiful!

Thanks Jana, Deborah, and Dena! Your compliments are just so kind!

Dena, I feel the same way. I always look at my work and wonder how my hot mess actually works out! Lol! I like the shape as well.

Grace your clothespins are so stinking cute! That will be a fun accessory to your aprons.

Here is a look at the felt ornament design I am working on - making 3 of these, one is completely done and now I have the "hard" part done on a second one - just need to sew on the back piece and stuff it!

Krista, I really like your potholder. It looks difficult, but something I might try. Where did you find the pattern?

Betty, I found the pattern through Pinterest. Let me see if I can find it again and I will share with you! It's actually not that difficult. I find them fun and love playing with different color combinations.

I've finished another felt ornament and made a good start on the final one in that pattern. Also did up another "kit" for a different felt ornament gift and cut out all the pieces for an altered Altoid tin play set I'm making for DS. Even glued in some of the pieces.

I would love to see your Altoid tin play set when it's done. It might be something I could make for my son once he is older.

Absolutely! Fingers crossed it turns out the way I want! I've made something similar before using a larger tin that was originally meant to hold a gift card. It was a Winnie the Pooh theme - Christmassy - on the outside and marked down to $0.10 or something like that. I just took the gift card holder insert out and made a little "bed" in the tin and sewed a wee Winnie the Pooh to tuck inside.

That was long before I'd learned to use wool blend felt for toys so poor Winnie is terribly frayed. And he's lost his red shirt - another lesson! Sew the clothes ON! lol

But DS still plays with it occasionally! Makes me smile!

Have any of you ever participated in making a prayer flag? I learned about it last week in our knitting group. One of our ladies has had a recurrence of her breast cancer and is not able to attend the group at the moment. So, another lady came up with the idea that we make her a prayer flag from all of us. Essentially, each person makes a panel and they are all strung together to form a bunting that can be placed anywhere.

This weekend, I worked on my panel and here is what I came up with.

Each person can use whatever colors, designs and embellishments they choose. I am excited to see how it will all work out when we are done.

If you have made one of these, I would love to hear about your project. This was totally new to me but I love the idea!

Winnie, your flag is very pretty. She is going to love it. I really like the idea as well.

Over the weekend I finished my pot holders and a bookmark. The colors of the bookmark are not what I was looking for so now I need to go get the right colored yarn and make another one.

Very sweet idea!!!

Finished last felt ornament in the symmetrical pattern and have gotten the Altoid tin to the point where I just need to glue down the bed and the inside is done. Now I need to design on design to embroider the top cover in, then glue that down and I can check another project off the list!
