Krista, love the pot holders and book mark. I'm working on a nursing cover for my niece in MV. She just had a baby boy, but they didn't want to know what it was till he was born. Now I have to get on the ball and get it to her, LOL

Krista, see if you can make the bookmarks from crochet thread or fingering yarn. I find that the thinnest yarn/thread is best for making bookmarks.

I will be moving into a new place tomorrow. There is still so much to pack. I have gotten rid of one-third of my books and yarn stash. I didn't know I had sooooo much yarn.

Krista, that pot holder is one of my favorite crochet patterns. So easy and so useful!

Marie, the pattern actually called for worsted weight yarn. I do plan on making other book marks from the smaller yarn in the future.

Thank you, Winnie and Dorothy.

Good luck, Judy! Congratulations on the new baby boy in the family.

I've been on a sewing binge this weekend. Trying to finish up several projects. Here's a port pillow for a little girl down the street who's in chemo right now. Also working on my pin cushion swap and a nursing cover for my niece.Has anyone heard of a pee pee tepee. I found a pattern for one and I'm going to try that too. :) LOL

Finished the Altoid tin playset!

And I made the tags for the teacher gifts I put together for the end of the year, including the little "apples" made from buttons, paper and felt.

Also finished a felt Santa Bird ornament, will post pic of that soon! One more of those to make and a felt guitar ornament up next!

Today is a catch-up, clean-up, and try to finish up some more UFOs. I have a pincushion to stuff for the swap, some more of my BOM blocks to finish, and many other projects. IF I could only get my sewing house/room organized that would really help.

Jaime,
love the altoid tin play set!. I have a ton of altoid tins, I will have to come up with something to do with them. If you need more let me know I think I have at least 4 in my desk drawer at work.
the teacher gifts are sweet.

Linda,
The sewing room organization is a constant struggle... too much to do, not enough time, then finding a spot for everything. I think I need to reorganize..again. My daughter helped me clean out and reorganize the "harry potter" closet under the stairs. Now I have more fabric to find a spot for. Maybe I just need to get rid of some things...

Yes, that's the problem. I organize, then decide to do it differently - after having piles of stuff all over again. LOL! I know where everything is - it's just that nobody else could find much, if anything. LOL!

I found this apron pattern in a book from the Green Valley Bookfair. I loved it because it has the towel attached to it. I have towels on drawer knobs all over the kitchen and the oven. I'm going to love wearing this one.

Winnie, what a great idea. Your flag is so cute. Is there a specific size you all are doing or is it everyone's decision? She'll really love it.

Krista, you crochet beautifully!

Jaime, everything is so cute. Good ideas!

Judy, very nice to do that for the little girl. The port area hurts sometimes and that will protect it!

Nora, I like that apron with the towel attached.

My craft room is so neat and then a tornado, me, decides to rearrange and yikes it's a disaster again. I guess we're all alike! LOL!

Took 38 baby hats and 6 headbands to the hospital nursery today. Also, 9 scarves, 2 prayer pillows and 12 beaded crosses to the adult chemo center at same hospital. Also, some books to add to the shelf. Always feels good to bless them. Will start working on some pillows and blankets for the kids chemo center. Poor kids.

Happy crafting!

Wow Darlene you have been busy!
Linda, its the never ending battle of the craft/sewing room, its either super clean or a disaster in the making... I need to reorganize, just not sure where to start, then I find a forgotten UFO or fabric and think of what I could do with it, and then it just spirals out of control!

Lenora, I really like the apron! I too have towels hanging from my knobs! LOL That's a super idea.
Maybe we need a room cleaning challenge and post before and after photos. I'd have to have about 6 months to complete that! LOL

We would probably get our rooms cleaner if we would clean each other's. Only problem, we would find so many cute new ideas, we'd never move out! LOL!

Judy- I have about 8 pee pee tepees! They are wonderful. I can't tell you how many times they have saved me from a bigger mess! Love your port pillow. I bet the little girl will really like it.

Jamie- your altoid tin is adorable! Now I really want to make one! That is very sweet of you to make teacher gifts.

Nora- that is such a cute apron. What a great idea to attach the towel to the apron. That would work great for me. I would never misplace my towel again.

Thank you Darlene.

A couple months ago when I started the blankets for my boys I did the math to see how many rows a week I needed to complete in order to have them done in time. Well.... sadly I have fallen behind quite a bit. I am 22 rounds behind. So I decided I really need to get my butt in gear and work on the blankets this weekend.
