Ruthie, love the prayer journal, it's coming out gorgeous! Yart, love the afghan panels. Please post a pic when you sew them together, I would love to see it completed.

I have a glass-top stove, and today I made a stove-top quilt to keep scratches off the glass. I made it just like a MJF dish drainer quilt, only larger. I use a Nu-wave burner most of the time, so this will help protect the top.

Thank you. I thought it would help keep it from getting dirty and I love the dish drainer quilt so I just expanded on it.

Linda when you get caught up with your sewing list and your knee has healed I would like to barter for a stove topper. I have a glass top too and when I run out of counter space I use it to work on - I do cover it with kitchen towels.

Today I showed hubby how to use the rotate cutter mat and ruler. I have him cutting 5 inch squares in half so I can mix up a quilt top by sewing 2 half's together that aren't the same. He has no idea that I am really trying to get him interested in sewing/quilting. He! He! What do y'all think? Ruthie Ann.

I know several couples who quilt. One husband quilts all his quilts by hand.

Your lucky Ruthie! If I asked my husband to help me, he would just laugh and go back to playing with his tools! One day I'll have a daughter who will do things with me.
