That's OK. Tears are good for us. I think our souls are closer to the surface when we cry. That is why grief makes the world feel so close and our senses so raw in grief. I think tears put our egos to sleep for a little while.

Lately, I have been knitting dish cloths. I have also gathered a lot of t-shirts and other fabric that need to be cut in strips for rugs. Guess that is what I will be doing today since it is snowing and I can't work in the yard.

Tonight I cut out an entire stack of hearts...to make into Heart Yo-Yo's. One of the Farmgirls
who makes aprons sent me an entire box of wonderful fabric scraps for free. What a Sweetheart...so,
I am just going to have to send her a surprise pkg very soon...as a thank You! You can't let a
kindness like she did...go un-appreciated.

Blessings,
~peggy

I just got a farmgirl white cotton jacket cut out that will be covered in antique laces & then dyed a soft yellow color to go with the pantaloons I made earlier & am wearing right now under a skirt!....just got in a huge order of laces so between last weeks order & this I now have at least a few hundred yards of different laces to work with.......its been rainy since last night & my water barrel is 1/2 full of rain water already....hopefully the sun will soon shine again so I can get out there & make my lye from the wood ash & rain water for soap. Never have done it so it should be a great experience learning something new.....Michele'

My friend Karen just got three little chicks and so I made a sign for her coop~to~be. For the past week or so I've been working on chicken coop signs and listed them in my sharnymcclarny etsy store.

I did find the heart yo~yo pattern Peg. But I had trouble printing it out??? Would you send me one?
Here is the sign I did for Karen ...
Its wood gleaned from the Spokane River after a spring flood left it on the bank. The river is super high again this year so should be a goldmine of driftwood out there in a month or two. Can't wait to go scavenging!

I am working on too many projects...just finished a 1/2 apron, doing a counted needlepoint project, a large Disney cross-stitch, just started a sock and the Great American Aran Afghan and knitting a shawl. That is probably just a start, I also have lots of UFOs to use up. Can't seem to do just one type of project at a time. Oh yeah, also working on a Grandmother's flour garden hexagon quilt top, stitching by hand...not too far on that one yet!

Those signs are adorable. Tammy I am kind of like you with lots of things going on. I just finished another apron. I have a quilt ready to be quilted, one that I am working on, two pirate dolls being made, scrapebook pages to do and I am sewing some quilts for the dogs at the local dog shelters. Like you I can't seem to do just one type of project at a time. Somehow the doll making and designing keep coming into my like as does the textile art work. It's all so much fun.
