CJ....how adorable you and your Holiday Apron are!!! I bet you had all kinds of compliments and
fun wearing it out shopping! You must learn where everything is at WalMart if you are going to
keep doing that! LOL You can be Santa's Little Helper!!!!

Hugs and Smiles,
Peggy

Kristina, wonderful work on the dog coat. Your dog looks so proud to be wearing it too!!

Ceejay, that apron is so pretty. The colors are outstanding! I love pom-pom fringe!! That is so funny about how people kept asking you for directions in WalMart.

I've been working on Christmas gift bags. My hope is to make enough in a few years the family can use them over and over and pass them around.

What a great idea Laurie. I love the idea of using gift bags again and again. This year we are wrapping with newspaper. Do you have patterns to share?

Thanks girls! Appreciate the compliments!
Peggy - I spend so much time (and money) in Walmart I do pretty much know where everything is. However, our Walmart (don't know if it's with all of them) moves things around so much that sometimes I have to learn location all over again. . . grrrr!!!

Kristi - love the dog coat. Intended to make my Bramble one a year or so ago, but didn't happen yet.

YOU GIRLS ARE ALL SOOOOOO TALENTED!!!
CJ

P.S. Thanks Peggy for calling me "adorable"! I am about to celebrate my 63rd birthday and I needed that! Thanks!

Kristi...Love the Dog-Coat and obviously so does your Dog!!! He looks so
contented there in the sunshine...all nice and warm in his new duds!

Paula...My first reaction to the dog-coat was just what you posted..."OH, He
looks so proud!"

Laurie...the gift bags are a brilliant Idea! Are they cinch string?? What
a great way to cut out the gift wrapping cost (eventually anyway!)

Well, girls...I need to get something done today. My Christmas Cards Especially.

Have a lovely day being Creative,
peggy

Way to go Kristina. The blanket looks lovely with the scalloped edging!

Laurie, the gift bags are a wonderful idea. My mother, the queen of re-use, starting using pieces of fabric from her scrap stash to wrap presents about 10 years ago. I think some people thought she was odd and showing signs of senility for doing it...now it is all the rage. Her habits have rubbed off on me. I found myself in a dilemma about throwing away a bread sack the other day and decided to keep it. Then I found a reason to use it the next day!

Your crafts all look so colorful! Ceejay, your apron is perfect and I love your WalMart story-tee-hee. Laurie, those gift bags are really pretty..I've been saving the bags that pillowcases come in now. They are plain, but I thought I could embroider on them. Kristina, your mom will love the blanket, and the scallop really dresses it up. Paula, the dog coat looks comfortable and dignified..not too cutesy.

No pattern. I just sew up the sides and either do a cinch on top or weave a piece of yarn through that just gets pulled out. I'm sure the cinch are easier for folks to reuse, but on small flat things it doesn't close so well.

I had a pattern for making bags like you use for grocery and used the bottom idea to start making my own so boxes fit neatly. I've learned through trial how to cut them the right size.

Usually I am working on Christmas decorating, baking and all that goes with the season. This year my Mom passed on Nov 13th so I am working on probate for her. December 14 my wonderful husband passed on so now I am doing funeral arrangements and all that goes with that. The Lord has been so good to me to let me have them in my life and his strength is so wonderful. Without God in my life I cound not begin to manage all of this.

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.
