That is so cute! I was wondering when I read your post earlier.

Today I have been learning to solder. Definitely need some practice, but it went okay. At least I've used the iron now and won't be scared of it anymore! :)

cute mouse and pillows. I have been working on getting some bins ready for worms today. I'm off for some DH time and finishing up a knitted sock toe.

Am finally back to sewing Lizzie Purses. Made two new patterns. The orange floral is quite large as it is 15" wide and 11" tall not counting the handle. Some of my clients wanted a larger purse.

OK, I'm ready-Let's go.

Susan,Love the handbags!! Glad to see you back at the sewing machine again.
CJ, Redwork is one of my favorite hand embroidery styles. The two pillows look so cute together.
Shelly, the mouse is darling. It would be cute to tuck some of these here and there around the house just for the fun of it. The tea wallet is a super idea and looks great!
Still working on my bohemian owl handbag here, and making good progress.

I love all the beautiful creations... Havent had a chance to come visit for a bit .I always am so inspired when i see everyones work. I am working on chicken necklaces and vintage image ones of horses It is cold this morning and I dearly want to go back to bed. Bonne made me some knitted slippers so I can keep my footsies warm and snuggly. I have gave up on knitting ...just not able to use the 2 hooks.
I finally got the teal jewelry boxes in that i ordered and i have been painting simple horses on them adn then my business caxrd i glue on bottom of the box .

Love the pin cushions, purses and necklaces - so much talent here.

I am finishing up heart note cards, made from wallpaper and cardstock, for my mother. Today I will be knitting or writing (hopefully both). More pictures of cards are on my "pioneer" blog.

Joann, how wonderful that you have found your A-frame Cabin in the Woods to retire to, I bet it is beautiful. The Northwood Lodge Patterns will be perfect for you home.
Thank you for telling me about your cabin. Pictures?

I made a trip to Jo-Ann Fabric today and found a lot of awesome remanents for really cheap! I also found a yo-yo maker on sale for $1.97 (Regular $9.99) I bought one for myself and one for my Apron Swap partner. I am going to work on my bookmarks today and hopefully have them out in the mail tomorrow!

Debbie, I too am working on the same patterns - have two done so far. Making them for a friend from MI who comes and spends summers out here in the Black Hills. She would live out here in a heart beat if she could! We live on top of a mountain surrounded by lots of pine trees in a house of northwoods design and decore. Also built after DH got early retirement and we built our dream house.
So love all the wonderful work you all create. Gives so much inspiration.

No sewing or papercrafting or such going on here this week. We butchered a beef and have been up to our EARS in meat to cut up, package and get in the freezer AFTER we did a major clean out and clean up of ONE of our freezers. Still have about 1/2 of the beef to cut up and a 2nd freezer to clean out. Sooooo we're busy "puttin' away" and grateful for it.
By cleaning out the freezer that meant using some things that were in there needing to be used, such as cherries, apples and blackberries (all grown on the property).
Back to the "stitching 'n' crafting" soon . . .

I posted some new marquetry pictures on my blog today if anyone is interested. I have been putting in a lot of hours cutting veneer and also doing some spinning, working on some handpainted merino superwash. I love everyone's projects! I don't envy you meat cutting, CJ but the end results are oh so yummy! What did you make with all that fruit?

Sheri . . .thanks!
We are taking the day off to go out of town for the day. I made dump cake with some of the apples and pie cherries . . it was YUMMY!
2 bowls of ChillOver with some of the Dark cherries. Tomorrow it will be berry crisp with the blackberries. There is still more of all of the above in the freezer that will come out IF we need the room as we cut more meat. The meat cutting has been a BIG job, but like you say, very well worth it!
Your boxes are AMAZING!!!

Isn't cutting up all that meat a huge job CJ. We just finished doing one and I had to clean out 2 freezers also to get him all in there. Believe me, we ate some pretty funky meals for awhile to get everything used up. But it was so worth it! Enjoy the fruits of your labor.
