what to do with those old bras i make them into drawer scenters just cut the sides off and stuff cups with batting and lavender buds and sew together if you leave the straps on you can hang them inside the closet or with your jackets and coats for the winter.. put in your luggage or gym bag.

Or if they are big enough you could sew the two cups together around the edge partway and put your clothespins in 'em, they have the straps for hanging! jk/lol

Deb, I like the idea of using them for the closets or drawers. I have a big bag of lavender buds left from my daughters wedding and they would work great. I always usually throw the old bras out because I wouldn't give something like that to the thrift so this seems a very good use. Not like anyone else would see them in the closet or drawers either. So our unmentionables stay that way.

How long does the scent stay? do you have to rip them open again to redo them, or do you just slip stitch so it will open again?
I threw one out right before this thread was started , so I'll have to wait a bit to do this but I have everything else to use.

I'm with Jeannie . . old serving old. However, the REALLY OLD bras got SOOOOOOOOOO worn out they aren't fit for anything!! They certainly wouldn't hold clothespins!! However, these are great ideas!!
Bras and me . . . a love/hate relationship!! CJ

the scent lasts awhile if you crush the lavender the scent coming back or you can spritz it with your favorite scent if it loses the scent i make my own lavender mist for refreshing the house and i use it for ironing so you can do that too.

Do you mind sharing how you make your own mist for that?

not at all to make lavender (or any of your favorite scents) pure essential lavender oil Fill the bottle with 4 fluid ounces of purified water. If you would like to make a larger batch, simply increase the proportions, such as doubling or tripling the amounts. The mist spray will last. Add 40 drops of the lavender essential oil to the water. Cap the bottle and shake well to mix ingredients. blessing deborah
