I have been searching online for a free online pattern for Prairie style sunbonnet for women size and have not succeeded in my search.

Anyone of you gals know of one?

Some reason I have a hankering for making some... one for myself and who knows!

Hi Karrieann ~ I have one somewhere in my stash. I'll dig around today and see if I can find it. The pile is deep tho, so be patient. Best, Sharon

I'm more organized than I thought I was! Found it close to the top of the pile. If you send me your email address, I'll scan a picture of the article from an old "Decorating and Craft Ideas" issue. I made two or three of the sun bonnets years ago so can attest to the accuracy of the patterns.

Sharon,

Can you send it to me too? We live right on the Oregon trail and they are always doing treks here. I'll bet some of the youth in our church could use some bonnets. I'm always looking for stuff I can sew and give away. I have too much stuff in my house, but I still want to sew and craft. :o)

If you are willing to make your own pattern from the magazine's grid layout Sherone, I will send you copies. Karieann has first dibs on the pattern pieces I made years ago. Some are too large to copy on my HP printer, but I could copy those that fit. If you are interested, send me your email address. S

Anyone interested in the old "Decorating and Craft Ideas" magazine pattern for sunbonnets, please email me for my address to send a self~addressed stamped envelope and I will make you a copy. The pattern pieces are illustrated on a grid that you would have to enlarge.
