I heard today that they are translating the Bible into Inupiat, an Eskimo dialect, and since there was no word for "shepherd" they used the word for one who watches the dog team. God is so good. There is some sort of word for shepherd in every language. CeeJay that passage made me smile thinking about being one of God's dog team. ;>)

Hey girls I need to ask if you would keep my daughter in your prayers. She going for a job interview tomorrow and she is planning to move where the job is, which is 3 hrs away. I don't like her moving so far away, but at least her older sister is in the same area. They will live together until a place can be found. That is one thing I'm happy about, is that they will be close to each other.

Thank you

Netty, praying.
It is amazing how many people are older and bored to tears. But with God you see so many things that Jesus wants ministered to or worked on or.....the list is endless with the things one can see to be out and doing for the Lord. When that happens then its "how much can I get done before He calls me home." And its not out of duty its out of a greatfull heart for His gift of salvation and new life. You just want to spread around as much of the joy as possible.

Thank you girls for praying, and it worked. She got the job, she will be taking a small drop in pay, but she said it was well worth it. It is an elderly care home and she says it is all about the people that live there, not like where she is working now. Everything has to be done a certian way, also it is a private owned center not state runned. I am so happy for her in that respect. I will miss her so much, but I will not hold her back.

She came over yesterday and she started to cry, "mom it is starting to hit me" she said. Now I don't know if I am doing the right thing. I told here that I think God wants her to go and the reason I say that is, she walked in and asked for an application talked with the head lady in charge, took a tour and then left. On her way home they called her and asked when could she start. Praise the Lord. Isn't it amazing when God wants something it happens ASAP.

So anyway I have two little chicks still at home and they will keep me busy with school activities. Next year is my daughters last year then my son has 2 years left. It will really be different without any kids here at home, you know I have had children in the house for over 25 years. Our oldest will be turning 26 yo this fall!!

How time flies by....

You girls take care and will talk to ya all later.

You know I think God has a real sense of timing. My husband did something dumb last week and got his son (18 year old) all upset and as the stepmom I got stuck in the middle. Anyway it ended up friday where his father and I threw him out of the house because of his abusive and disrepectful behaviour. This is a child that has been put through re-hab but still continues to use. When I went to Sunday school yesterday the lesson was on proverbs and the theme was on raising children with discipline and love. Sometimes it is tough but we have to pray that God will be present when he is finally able to open his heart to hear his voice. Please keep my husband Kevin and his son Kyle in your prayers as they work through the pain of the situation, pray that both of them will hear his voice and open their hearts.

Lesley,
Prayers for you, Kevin and Kyle. Definately a tough situation, and heartbreaking too. Praying that Kyle sees what he is doing to himself and to his family, and decides to give rehab another chance.
Hugs,

Lesley, prayers are being sent up. I am in a situation of kicking a child out, but under different circumstances. Will pray for healing and for Kevin and Kyle.

I never got a call regarding the part time job I applied for. 14 years without outside work makes it difficult to even get an interview. I'm considering a 3rd shift job that is hiring.

It seems as if everyone here at the house is depressed and focused on what we don't have vs. the good and what we do have. I know it's hard, but it sure makes the atmosphere negative and thick with unhappy emotions.

Lesley,

I will also keep you, Kevin and Kyle in my prayers. I went through a very tough time with my daughter, she was kicked out of the house, then we had to send her to Boys Town for awhile. It was so hard and so draining. I was beyond myself, but my husband stood behind me and my daughter which is his step daughter.

She is now 25, married and with 2 kids, and doing very well. Our relationship is wonderful now. I just pray that the Lord will get into Kyles heart and let him see the distruction that is happening in your family.

Keep you in my prayers,

Girls would you please pray for my cousin. He is really having a hard time. His wife of 30 years just up and left him. She told him she needed to go and find herself. His wife is a wonderful person, but my cousin said she is not acting herself. He is really hurting and mixed up. He is a christian and knows God, but I know this will also test his faith.
