Betty, your smoke may be coming from us, we are surrounded by wild fires again this summer, the largest one in the nation is just south of us by 1.5 - 2 hours... over 400,000 acres burned now. So very sad. We've had clouds and humidity that last few days - Nearly 100 degrees and lots of humidity, awful. I'll take dry 100 degrees anyday!

I must say I am so dismayed at the burning of all of our trees. It saddens me because it takes so many years for those trees to get to the size they are. Still a bit hazy and a day of 109 today. I hardly venture out, maybe just to look at my garden and that is sad because the heat is just cooking the plants.

90 at the moment with heat index of 104 - forecast 99 for this afternoon so heat index will get higher.
I'm so sorry for the burning of all the forests in the west & northwest. My hope and prayer is all of you will be safe.

The fires and the heat out west make me want to cry. I can hardly bear to see it on TV. Glad to be in the WV hills---but I truly feel the pain of all enduring the heat and fires. So very horrible!

Hi low 90s today with hi humidity and cloudy. Low temps for Texas in Aug but I'll take it. Counting the days to cooler weather.

We finally got a break from our heat wave in the 100s today. It’s been pouring rain all day and only a high of 55. Been in my sweatpants and jacket to stay warm. Such I nice change of scenery.

It's raining here today and in the 80's. By Wednesday we are supposed to get a FALL BLAST as the weatherman called it. Forecast to be in the 60's during the day and 40's during the night. Fall begins in 2 days so the weather change is right on time!!!

Perfect First Day of Fall here in northeast Texas. I've waited so long for it and it's finally here. It's cool with a strong breeze and warm & mellow sunshine. It's a very good day!

Will be in the low forties here tonight---and I am in hog heaven---flannel PJS and a pile of quilts. We are sleeping out in our unheated sleeping shed. I love to snuggle under the quilts---I feel like a big bear hibernating. Good sunny weather in the sixties for us all week. Perfect for wood gathering. Wish the west could have some rain.

Well, it's been a glorious green spring here in QLD, Australia. We have had some lovely rain over the past month (350mm for the month of November) and my garden is loving it!! It does make for humid days (80-90%), but at least they're a little cooler than usual with a pleasant (80-86 degrees F). Heading in to summer now. I can't wait for the temps to warm up a bit more! Please send pictures of your snow if you're getting it where you are. It's nice to see snowy pictures when our temps outside get to 100 degrees F.

Weather is absolutely perfect--well almost, could get rid of the clouds. It is unseasonably warm here in the Tri-Cities. Right now at 4 p.m. it is 60 degrees. Love it.

Who would have thought a tornado warning in December? We're down in the basement at 3:30 am, but only for a short time. The rain is coming down in buckets.

Hope all is well at your house and town, Vanessa. I thought of you during the storm. A tree fell on our car and ruined the back end---it is undriveable. Merry Christmas to us---LOL! So very sad for those dead in the storm. These are hard times for people and I am praying for them.
