And the Cilantro Lime Beans sound delish, too!

We had beef stew with beef, peas, potatoes, carrots, kale, tomatoes, corn, and pearl onions, which I seasoned with tarragon, parsley, garlic, bay leaves, and a splash of red wine. It was yummy on this freezing day!

Farmgirl hugs,
Nicole

tonight we will be having stir fry and rice.
Think tomorrow a pot of ham and bean will be simmering on the stove for supper along with some skillet cornbread. Snow and cold coming in again tonight so that will hit the spot.

Sharon, that sounds truly amazing!
Every once in a while I impress myself! I roasted a whole chicken with onions and apples, served with from scratch mashed potatoes, gravy, biscuits, and corn...I am exhausted, but it was delish! No dessert, but I'm now wanting chocolate and cherries...hmmmmm...

Thanks Ally :)

Your dinner sounds really good!!! Chocolate does sound good :)

The cherries are actually frozen ones that I got from Bithell Farms in Oregon. They deliver certain times of the year to certain areas. The quality is wonderful. They do cost a bit more but they are worth it.

Tonight is:

~Homemade Pizza
~Tossed Salad

I'm thinking a BIG crock pot of hot golden French shallot soup. I'm tossing as much garlic and onion as I can at this cold of mine

I've been gone from the forum a bit. Lots was going on. Glad to see the post kept going! Some yummy dinners there! I've got some good ideas from the last few posts!

Tonight I am making chili since we Connecticut is now officially part of the North Pole. Going to try MaryJane's breadstick recipe from her Bakeover issue.

For lunch, I made Butternut Squash soup and baked some yummy oatmeal raspberry muffins. We used raspberries we picked fresh and froze last summer. Hard to believe right now that it ever gets warm enough for raspberries to bloom, hee hee. Little taste of summer on a frozen day!

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

Tiana, how was your dinner out?

Sharon, tonight we had a lazy dinner, too. DH made grilled hamburgers since more snow is coming. They had all the works: baby lettuces, tomatoes, onion, pickles, mayo and ketchup.

I've got some new recipes I want to try out soon.

What's on your table?

Farmgirl Hugs,
Nicole

We had pot roast with roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots and cauliflower. Was a bit worried, as I grabbe wax paper instead of parchment paper by accident. Tasted ok. Yikes.

I made Bob a Valentine Day Dinner. We had Chicken Scallopine with a nice shallot and garlic sauce. A mixed salad with thousand Island dressing and steamed spinach. Yummy and so quick and easy to make. Valentine cake for dessert---when we are ready for dessert.

Tonight was meatball and tortellini soup as shown on the cover of food network magazine. I added some onion and bay leaf
Served with onion garlic toast
Would be good with real garlic or crusty bread.

I'm eating late tonight (my dryer broke down--it was very old) and I had to take clothes to the laundromat to dry them. I'm making chile rellenos casserole. It's in the oven now. I made tofu-sesame sticks for lunch yesterday. The casserole will be my lunch at work for the next several days.
