Several of you have asked about my quilt projects...here is one that I did this week and donated to a local fundraiser our community was doing to raise money for a scholarship in honor of a local law enforcement officer that passed unexpectedly.

For July Farm Girl of the Month I would like to nominate Brenda Fouty #7025. Brenda and I worked together many years ago... she retired from teaching and moved back home to be with her family. She was like a 2nd mother/best friend all rolled into 1. She taught me many things in my early married years...things that I still do/use today. She is truly a farm girl at heart! As a matter of fact she is on her way to visit so we can work on lots of "Farm Girl Stuff" for the next few days/weeks. The fact that she is driving half way across the country to spend time with my family is more special than you could ever imagine! She will be here to welcome my Army son home before he goes back and possibly faces his 1st deployment. Congrats Brenda on July's Farm Girl of the Month. (She is traveling so it may be tomorrow afternoon before she replies. )

Thank you so much, Angie, for nominating me for July! I've barely started, but I am so excited! I will become more familiar with you farm girls now that I have Angie to whip me into shape. Thanks to all for the congrats and the encouragement. I love to garden, can, sew, and redo furniture. It seems like I always have too many projects going at once (Can you have too many projects....I think not!).
