Thank you all. I had a wonderful visit with Angie (Farm Girl Quilting)in FL. I drove around the streets and roads where I used to live, enjoyed the site of the orange groves, and the cattle ranches, the produce stands and the farm gates. Today I am back home in Illinois, enjoying my own company for the next few weeks. We are off this morning to look for "bargains" at local garage sales, investigate a new local "Redo, Renew" shop, and enjoy the cool weather as we visit the local Amish store. Thank you all for such wonderful messages of welcome and congratulations. I am so grateful for the farm girls in my life!

Well, it's time, ladies. I have finished my tall sweet tea, and I must get busy. Sitting in this rockin' chair is not getting anything done today, but don't we enjoy days where we can actually "catch our breath?" It is time for this farm girl to pic a sister farm girl of the month, and that is one hard job! You have all been so supportive and encouraging, I wish I had found y'all years ago! I would like to name MBurns from Iowa for FGOTM, Aug., 16. She is actually the first sister to send me a little note, complete with a "sparkly" butterfly inside. It was a perfect note, and a perfect day for me to receive that note, and "connect" with a new friend. Congratuations, Marlene! I have found a whole new family here, and I know the wisdom hidden just across this fence is bound to be plentiful. I am sure I will be sitting on the porch, asking for advice on my many projects before long. Thank you all in advance, and know that I have been reading and praying....a move, trouble with a car, a visit during an illness that was hard to arrange, a baby on the way, it is LIFE, is it not? We all have a story, and they are all important. Prayers and hugs! Have a wonderful August, Marlene!!!
