I have had a couple of experiences, there may be some explanation to them but I believe they were visits.
The most recent one was when I had to have my cat Simon put to sleep because he had a debilitating stroke. My husband, myself, and my stepson all heard Simon's meow the next morning at different times. We believe he came back to let us know that's its ok and he is fine now. When I am very upset and feeling like I need to be nurtured the most my "Nan" comes to visit me in my dreams. I always feel loved and good after these dreams. I have also had a "Ghost" experience up in Victoria, BC at the Empress hotel. At the time it happened I just wrote it off as a strange occurrence but a couple years later we went on a "ghost" tour and the guide explained a ghost of the hotel where the particulars exactly matched my experience. Coincidence or is there something to it? I had walked out in the hallway by our room because I had heard a strange noise and found an elderly lady who was looking for her room number. I tried to help her find it. The room number would have been right where the elevator was at the end of the hallway. I told her she may want to go back down to the concierge's desk to confirm the room number. My back was turned and I heard the elevator door close. I decided to go down the stairs and meet up with her at the desk to make sure she got the help she needed. When I got down there she was nowhere to be found when I asked the concierge who was right by the elevator about the lady he said no one had come out of the elevator recently. I took it as she solved her problem and just went back to my room. When we went on the ghost tour the guide told us of a reported female ghost that is looking for the room that was removed when the elevator shaft was installed during the remodeling. It was the same room and same floor that we had stayed on.
I have always been "sensitive" to environments, and at times have experienced the spiritual gift of discernment. I believe that when I have these experiences it is because there is something going on that I need to pay attention to.

I had a positive experience a couple years ago involving a deceased friend who interceded for me. He was a priest doing missionary work in Central America, and was killed during an apparent robbery (which may have been staged by the govt. of that country). I was very depressed about his death, and at the time, other people who knew him were shunning me (for something that wasn't my fault). I knew they were going to have a memorial service for him but I didn't know when. I was feeling very sad and alone with my pain. I took Boxer for a walk at a park and as I was headed back towards my car, a woman who was dressed up approached me. I could tell she was lost. she asked me if I knew where the novitiate property was and I told her. She just "looked" like someone who would have known Lorenzo so I asked her "By the way, did you know Father Lorenzo?" She said she was on her way to attend a memorial service for him. That's when I knew Lorenzo wanted me to attend the service. I did, and it went well. Some old wounds were healed. I still talk to him at times and I know he can hear me. He did so much to help the poor so I know God listens to him. Cindy

Funny to be on this subject. My son was just diagnosed with a disease that could cost him his life if not treated. My husband ask me the other day if I had any deep feelings of knowing what might happen. I ask him why did you ask me that question. And he said you always seem to know when something is going to happen to someone. I have been this way since I was young. Some times it is a scary feeling. It started in high school. I remember sitting in school and I kept getting the feeling like something bad was going to happen. It really bothered me. Then right after lunch the school counselor called me up to her office and told me my grand father had passed away and the family had not been able to get a hold of anyone at my house so they called the school. I had to go home and tell my Dad his father had passed away. I can tell when something bad is fixing to happen to someone I am close to because I get these weird feelings. I will even dream about it some times. I don't like having this ability I try to block it out as much as possible. I have had one after life experience that was good and one that was not so good.

Lesley-what a cool story about the elevator lady. I really enjoyed that. Dorinda-SO sorry to hear about your son. No matter how old they are it hurts so much when something happens to your kids. I pray that all will be well with him. I also have some people that I seem to have a connection with. I had a friend and I would call him not knowing he was dealing with something bad that day and then I would find a message from him on my answering machine when I got home from work (way before call phones) left that morning before I called him. That kind of thing happened over and over. Many years ago I had a wonderful boyfriend but he had PTSD from Vietnam and drank alot. While we were broken up I "felt" him standing at the end of my bed. It frightened me a little because it wasn't like him to do that-he would just come in the room. I knew he would never hurt me but I was more uncomfortable than usual. i "told" him that he was OK and that whatever was wrong, we'd deal with it. I opened my eyes and there was no one there. I journaled about it. Several weeks later, after we were back together again, he told me he had been arrested and in jail and how much he felt he needed me (and my calm voice/manner) then. When I looked it up in my journal, I "felt" him in my room the night he was taken to jail. Perfect strangers come up to me, many of them telling me they just had a "feeling" to talk to me. I'm a psychiatric nurse and I guess I must give off nurturing vibes but this happens so often with strangers that my DH teases me that I have a neon sign on my head saying,"Please tell me your story." Sometimes it's good because I feel like I can help someone but sometimes it's bad because I never feel like I am off duty and I just want to eat my dinner in peace, you know? Joey

Dorinda, so sorry for your worries about your son. You both are in my prayers.
Joey, it does sound like you have one of those open faces that many people find inviting. I admit, I would grow tired of it, too. You have had some interesting experiences. I enjoyed reading about them Marianne |

Just wondering if anyone else has had interactions with angels or has a personal spirit guide or angel? Joey

Well, for about 2 weeks now, maybe three, I have not been able to stop thinking about my first cousin, Marilyn. Our mothers are sisters and we are like sisters except over the years with both of us raising families and pursuing careers we don't see each other often. At my mom's last week I told her that for some weird reason I just could not get Marilyn out of my mind, just could not stop thinking about her. My mom called me Thursday said "Well, your ESP is working, Marilyn just called me". I said "What happened?" her son died in a fire Wed nite in San Antonio.
This has happened to me several times over the years. Usually I dream about the person too. I can not explain this. am wondering if anyone has had similar experiences.
hugs to all my sistas Glenda #3534

Has anyone read the books by Doreen Virture, PhD. on Angels? Or any of her other books? Interesting regarding this subject matter if you're interested. Look her up on-line. |

Thanks for that information. I have read a book on Angels, but It is packed away for now. I'll check to see if that is the book. Marly
