1. I had to go into the Office in the city today (UGH), but I managed to get a free parking space right in front of the building (which is a rare occurrence) . . .
2. Again, running water because after coming home from being in the city, I needed to take a long, hot shower to scrub the "city ick" off of me and get the makeup off of my face (the older I get, the less I can tolerate makeup . . . and "city ick" is a real thing . . . it is the smell of pollution and car exhaust in my hair, on my skin and the germs from an office of 200 people)
3. That I have a Boss that allows me to work "remotely" 98% of the time, thus preventing "city ick"! ("Remotely" is the fancy term for "from home", which isn't really permitted where I work, but I am allowed to because of my work ethic, trustworthiness, and because I made our entire unit "mobile").

Cyndie, I love the description of "City ick" Also, I feel the same way about the older I get, the less tolerate of makeup I am. LOL Marly

Today I'm thankful for
Not wearing make up at all any more. I feel awkward with it on now that I'm older.
Never, ever having to shave my legs my whole life. My daughter doesn't either. My sisters are envious.
Being alive and feeling good.

I am thankful for . . .
1. My Ex Fiance' who is still my heating and cooling guy for giving me such a good deal on a new furnace and central air to replace my 31 year old existing units that are on it's last leg (my Grandfather had the existing put in in 1986) . . .
2. For my Husband, who is such a wonderful man that he does not mind in the least that my Ex-fiance' is our heating and cooling guy , , ,
2. For my Boss, who called me today with a promotion offer (a lot more money) . . . which I immediately turned down because it would mean I would no longer work for her.

The lettuce that is still growing in our garden. Left overs for tomorrow's supper. Yay! Especially since we have errands to do tomorrow. My daughter getting home safely.

I'm thankful for the harvest from our garden this year, and how much we've been able to can, freeze and root cellar. I'm thankful for my husband of 46 years and that we can still keep doing as much as we can together. Sunshine and cooler temperatures.
