I have read about making compost tea but I have never tried it or know anyone that has. Do any of you have experience with it?

I have made compost tea. I used a burlap sack and cow manure. I had a rain barrel I used and let the "tea bag" steep till it was a darker color. Then applied to my garden plants.

Thanks Michele. I don't have access to a cow but my sister does have a horse & mule. May give it a go for the spring garden. I like hearing from someone with practical knowledge of whatever I am learning about.

We've used a 5 gallon bucket and panty hose filled with poop with an aquarium warmer to brew it (don't have to use the warmer though, we had an "extra" and decided to try it), once it's nice and dark we use it to water the plants. Works very well. Ours was a mix of goat, chicken, rabbit and equine back when we had those critters.

Horse manure will work too. Rhubarb loves horse apples. Also discovered that raspberries love it too.
