I dried some of the rosemary from my herb garden and put it in a tin and poured kosher salt on it and mixed it up. I'm going to let it sit for about a week and then blend it in my food processor so I'll have rosemary salt. Never tried it before so I'm not sure how it'll turn out... Cindy

Sounds good Cindy. I make celery salt but haven't tried rosemary but I think I will now.
I also make mint sugar for hot tea - also good in or on cookies.
Dried herb or combination of herbs added to salt or sugar - I'm excited just thinking what I can come up with when I do the last harvest of herbs for this year.
Thanks again Cindy for giving me something fun to do.

What awesome ideas, girls! I never thought to make my own flavored salts and sugars! I can't wait to try these! Cindy - what would you use the rosemary salt for? I bet it would be wonderful on chicken! And Sara! CELERY SALT! What an awesome idea! I have definitely got to make that! And wouldn't the mint sugar be a neat surprise sprinkled on sugar cookies at the holidays?! Such great ideas! Thank you so much for sharing! Hugs - Nini
