Question-we are doing pen pals through American Heritage Girls but can you tell me more about HSAMF? We are members of HSLDA is it similar? We really only do that in case there is ever an issue-kind of an "insurance plan." And we are members of our local homeschool organization but I haven't looked into this one, since we are a military family maybe I should?

HSAMF is not a legal group at all!!!! So there would not be any help if an issue would arise. However, it has been nice to talk with other military families. At the same time, however, I don't know that I would be doing it for much longer, had I not started the Penpal program, lol. I seriously want to look into the American Heritage Girls. I've heard some great things about them, but just haven't checked it out yet. Need to make time ;)
We haven't been in AHG very long but are enjoying it so far! We are considered "trailblazers" because there isn't a troop out here. Its the only way to participate without a troop though otherwise you have to find one in your area. I was just wondering the benefits of HSAMF, I looked up the website but couldn't really tell if it would be worth it for me. Something to think about :)
