Making Jubilee garden flags today. Found garden flags at Dollar General which would work with rooster & mini apron theme. One design has a white picket fence and the other a bicycle. I cut roosters from fabric and will sew them on the flags. Roosters will sit on picket fence or bicycle seat.

The mini aprons are glued and cut with pinking shears so I don't have to hem. I will tie them to a fence rail or bicycle frame. I like emblemizing store bought items.

With Jubilee coming up real soon, we got started on some office decorating yesterday. KatMom and quiltee had organized a mini apron swap and were thoughtful enough to send us a set of adorable Jubilee pin-ups. Some of the aprons had little poems or memories attached, plus quiltee included several apron poems she'd found on the Internet. We love the way it brightens up our design studio French doors that open into Carol's office. Ca-ute. Thanks girls! Special thank you to Grace and Linda for including us.

And also to Grace for the three extra she made:)

Love the office and apron banner, Mary Jane. I love seeing pics of those offices, etc. in the building that was under construction when Robin and I were there in 2011 and were honored with a tour of what was going to be!

It is nice seeing the mini aprons hanging in the office. I hope everyone who comes in can enjoy them there. We were happy we could include you and give you something to help celebrate the Jubilee.

Just like a kid at Christmas I couldn't wait any longer so I put my Jubilee garden flags out - one on either side of the side of the sidewalk leading to front porch. The new one looks really good but the one I made in 2015 is looking a little faded so I may retire it after this year.

I too really like the Rooster/Hen theme for Jubilee.
Love the mini aprons, so cute.
Marilyn (texasgran) surprised me with a mini apron valance, and l love it. So colorful. I will hang it on my craft room window, it will be so cute. There is a rooster mini apron attached too.
Now what shall I make to celebrate?

Hugs,

I finished my two mini aprons to fly over my two Boston ferns. And they are flying high. Sixteen mph wind blowing across my front porch today. Hesitated about putting them out but what a better test to see if they will hold up. Most days there's wind of some sort. So far they are still there.

Grace, you're all set for the Jubilee. Love the rooster.

With all my planning I hadn't given thought to what to cook special. I may just copy Grace and make scones - I have MJF scone mix. That's no brainer - I'll do scones. Thanks Grace.

We're thinking apple pies, maybe cherry also. Banana bread French toast for breakfast. Aprons, daffodil bouquets, little baby calves and a picnic. What we really want to conjure up is some sunshine this coming weekend. We've had too much rain this year. Happy B-day to Carol this coming weekend. She has out-of-town friends coming who I know know how to frolic, make merry, and play lots of music, Jubilee-style.

Ohh, I am behind on seeing the photos of your office area, MaryJane, all fixed up with darling mini aprons! So cute and colorful. Grace and Linda you both did such a great job on those apron banners too.

And a Birthday Shout out to both MaryJane and Carole for this upcoming weekend as well. What a perfect way to celebrate the Jubilee. Birthday fun and Jubilee celebrations!

As for my plans so far, I have my Basil plant that is doing so well that I have picked some to dry. WooHoo! Organic Basil is so awesome to have right out on the patio. Next up will be hanging a check apron on the flag pole that was gifted to me from Denise, Levisgrammy, a few years ago in a swap. I also have a dear friend coming on Sunday to spend the night enroute to her nursing conference. She was my first Farmgirl Friend before I even knew about MaryJanesFarm and she helped me with my first efforts to can jam with Florida Muscadine grapes. My daughter just brought me a big bag of some yellow squash from their garden and so I think I am going to make a pan of southern squash casserole for our neighborhood picnic on Sunday afternoon. I am planning to wear my egg gathering apron that CeeJay made me from last year's Jubilee theme all weekend long! Sure wish I had some hens to provide me with eggs to gather.
