Check out silly kid games on prayers site. Put it on the wrong place. Girls admit some of your silly games that still make you smile when you think of them----or did just old bored hillbilly children have to think up things to do? We sure had fun that's for sure.

Silly hillbilly games, do you mean stick horses with brooms or mops? How about Red Rover? We had a lot of fun making up things to do to keep busy.

Button, button, who's got the button. If we didn't have a button, we used a rock.

We played all of the above and freeze tag and hide and seek, outside in the evenings. Seven kids lived next door and we had a big field behind our house so there was usually some kind of ball game that could be got up.

How about taking a small object and hiding it in one of your hands and having the young kids guess which hand it is in? My Grandkids love when I play that game with them. It goes to show that it is always the simple things in life!
We knew how to entertain ourselves much better than kids do today. Using one's imagination is a lost art that is for sure. And kids need to be entertained or else they are bored. How about reading a Book????????????
Every year at Christmas I try to get a toy that is old school for the kids. This year I bought them stick hourses and cowboy/and cowgirl Hats and Scarf. They loved them!
Have a Great Day!

We had sand where I was raised and we said a rhyme as we ran our fingers around a doodle bug home. Rhyme went something like this "doodle bug - doodle bug come out cause your house is on fire".
We also played with Texas horn toads. They are on the endangered list because of fireants. The fireants eat the big red ants that the Texas horned toad eats.
Years ago my elderly neighbor who was raised on a ranch in OK told me they used to tie small match boxes to the Texas horned toad and play like it was a cart.
Yes, we knew how to entertain ourselves. I remember laying outside on a warm summer night on a quilt telling ghost stories.
