We finally started redoing our kitchen. It's not a big size and it's comfortable. I can fit 4 people at the table and still have room to move around. So, I decided to change my wall paint color and went with a gray. I know many of you are getting tired of this color, but it blends nicely with the rest of my rooms. I also purchased shiplap for the main wall on the table side. I love it and when done, I will post pictures.

Sounds nice Joan. We are redoing our kitchen too. We are painting cabinets light avacado green and the walls which are paneling a light yellow. According to the paint card the yellow is called Ginger Wasabi. Two things I enjoy.
Gray is always a good standard color that goes with eveything. You can change the accent color any time you wish.

Nancy, your choices sound so nice. Maybe when we are both done with the kitchen, we can post pics together :)

My Husband is building new cabinets for our kitchen! I am so excited! We moved into this house years ago. The kitchen has always been a mess, but we knew that eventually we would get around to redoing it! That time is now! Wish us luck as it is a huge project! We will post pics soon!

Thank you to both of you! I can't wait! The kitchen has always been one of the ugliest places in our home. Instead of working around the old green and white tiles from the 50s, the owners painted over it. The cabinets are very crudely built. They were built onsite in the 50s and have a very uneven design routered into the front of each door and drawer. The ones being built by my Husband are going to be very nice. I will have more counter space and more cabinets. Baking and canning will be so much easier! Waiting for it is so hard!

Joan, I bet your kitchen changes will be great when you get it all done. Sometimes it takes completion to get the real full effect of your efforts. Enjoy!
