This purple Iris bloomed today, Palm Sunday. The Dogwood trees are already in bloom, too. God puts so much beauty in our path. If we
just notice, no day is without beauty.

Darlene,
I am so grateful to Jesus. When I ponder what he went through so undeservedly for us, it brings tears to my eyes.

Keep shining!

A neighbor dropped in looking for turkey, while in the back field he heard a turkey. Then when he was on his way out he stopped to see if we need anything. We can do this together. Did you look at the moon, it is beautiful.

Hi Vicki, I had an infusion at the hospital yesterday. It went well. I made some pit stops on my way. Two separate businesses who normally do not do this brought my packages to my truck and loaded them so that I could remain in the cab. Thank l goodness they were willing to help me this way.

Today as I drove make in my lane from getting our mail, I saw our first Killdeer. It was a welcome new neighbor.

Here's my happy thought for today---I am having a caffe'=mocha-vodka-valium latte. Great for the nerves. Wine is fine---but liquor's quicker. Happy Easter to all.

Joan, you have done great. Happy Easter Great Grandma.

My Happy note today, Have you noticed that our faiths have been moved from the back burner to the front? We are encouraged to practice our faiths in a modified manner, safely remembering social distancing.

Mom and I did a swap with friends who we normally spend holidays (rotating who hosts). We fixed the ham and some sides, they prepared the scalloped potatoes. We drove to their house. He met us in the driveway and maintaining the 6 foot distance, we exchanged our dishes. She waved from inside the picture window.

Happy Easter Everyone!

Thanks, Ladies!
My Happy Note for today is I plan to spend the afternoon working on a quilt I am finishing for my Aunt Mary. She has Parkinson's and I am finishing the UFO projects she has, which are for her family. She has 7 kids. And then I am going to work on some embroidery. It is fun having a birthday because I get to take the day off of the regular stuff I do. My husband fills in for me. Plus, he made me pancakes for breakfast!
Sara, I wanted to tell you that my favorite flower has always been yellow roses. I have to come up with another "name".

As I was teaching Science this morning Via Zoom, a hen Turkey strutted past my window. She appeared yesterday during math. When I told my kids about it, they thought it was neat. (I did too.)

He was so cute. As I am sitting here chatting with you folks, two hunters just walked by my window, looked to be father and son. The son looked to be about 8 years old in camouflage from head to toe.

Terri, thumbs up on the wild turkeys but I'll have to give a thumbs down on coyotes near by. When coyotes are around chickens and small animals disappear.

My happy note today is I just placed an order to Winterberry Cabin for wool for my new wool applique project. Always makes be happy to see all the wonderful colors of the hand dyed wool. Can't wait to actually touch the wool - love feeling and working with wool.

My Happy Note today won't happen until tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. CST. My favorite Miss Marple, Margaret Rutherford, is airing on TCM in "Murder She Said". Gotta love the way the British do mysteries.

A rainy day, what better push to get those chores in the house done that I have been putting off not to mention some homework for my students and church. Sometimes I need the rain as much as the plants.

Love all these happy notes---and it is from a children's book written by a lady just down the road from Cool Ridge called "When I Was Young in the Mountains"---here is the last page of it and how I feel--"-When I was young in the mountains, I never wanted to go to the ocean, and I never wanted to go to the desert. I never wanted to go anywhere else in the world, for I was in the mountains, And that was always enough."
