Oh my goodness these little Moles are playing havoc with out yard. How do we get rid of them? We can not use anything poisonous due to dogs, cats and deer. We had them when we lived in Colorado and had a “specialist” come out and put carbon monoxide in the holes. Umm, that did not work either.
I thought perhaps Farmgirls might have ideas for us?
Thank you

Big Hugs,
Debbie

I have no idea if it will really work but I found this: https://www.backyardboss.net/reasons-to-use-vinegar-for-ground-moles/
Best of luck Debbie!

Coffee grounds or castor oil. I have done both. you don't kill them but you herd them to any place else. Used coffee grounds around the hole they will move. Takes a while but the do move. I also have taken a hose end sprayer fill with caster oil and just sprayed the area don't spray the area you want them to move to smell is awful. They hate the taste and move on. You can also put cyanide pills down the hole they will die.

Thank you Diana for the info, worth a try as well. If one does not work maybe another will.

Oh Debbie, I deal with those pesky gophers! Ugliest things ever. Once in a while I'll be blessed with a juvenile red tailed who are fascinated by them and will sit at their hole till they can pluck them out. They've torn up our yard so much and left caved in tunnels in the yard. 15 acres of bumping around is no fun, lol. Like Diana, I've dumped coffees grinds , soapy water, ammonia ( nearly took my breath away so don't try that) and sometimes I feel a little ' pyromanic' and poor gas down the hole and light it up. Not a good thing to do either but they move upland. Check out pinterest. They've got some ideas. Try until you succeed. I keep on too! All the best hon!

Thank you Dianna, at this point we will try anything. You should see how many more mounds we have this morning. The sure are fast critters! Really Unbelievable!! They are way worse here than Colorado.
Thank y’all.
