How is the bookmark coming? I need to do that badge also. Shall we work on it together?

@Winnie aka Red Tractor Girl,
I am getting in late on this thread. Is it something that we can do again for 2024? I have lots of UFOs and would love to join in to have accountability partners and get accolades!

We always have UFOs and this has helped getten'em'done!

My quilt guild started something this year. We had to list 12 UFOs to complete this year numbered from 1-12. Each month 2 dice are rolled and the total number that comes up (re-rolled if a duplicate of one we've already done) is the UFO we have to complete that month. It is amazing how many great quilts have been completed that have been UFOs for a long time. I completed several that were 5-10 years old. LOL! We could try this, too??

This is the freshly quilted Chicken quilt made from the jellyroll that I got from Debbie in March. All it needs now is binding.

Wonderful quilt, Vanessa! I have some of that maryjane fabric, but it is not a jelly roll. It is fabric yardage.

Thanks Linda! I only have 8 more until I reach my goal! Plus I have 2 that are just about done. I am determined to reach my goal this year.

Karen, that is so true. But have been saying that for like 5 years now lol! I am not letting myself off the hook this year!

Thank you Grace and Winnie!

Vanessa, your quilt is beautiful!

Linda, I love that idea! You don’t have to make a decision about what project to work on, it’s made for you! :)

Yes, Karen. And if you finish another numbered UFO on your list ahead of it being called you can add an extra. Then you are ahead of the game. Lol!

Linda, I like your idea of listing 12 UFOs and rolling the dice to pick the number to finish. I am sure I could come up with 12 unfinished projects!

Actually Linda, rolling 2 six-sided dice leaves out the number "1". It would be more accurate to roll one 12-sided die to have access to all the numbers 1 to 12. These dice are available at game stores.

Great idea Linda! I M working on a ufo at present that only seems to get worked on when we travel. So I decided it was time to finish up. It is cross stitching so may take me awhile but I am determined and hope I stay that way.

I finished 2 more UFOs yesterday. The first one is a diamond painting I finished over a year ago for my husband but never framed it. I finally got it cut and framed and now it's ready for him to hang. The second one is a crochet wall hanging that I started quite awhile ago for a Farm Sister. I won't share a picture because I don't want to ruin the surprise. I will mail it tomorrow.

Now I'm going to finish my Halloween garland UFO. I'm trying to keep up my pace.

Oh Grace, that is so funny.... I finished one, but have a bunch more and starting more.

Here is my finished UFO

My tribute to my dear brother. When he was a young man, he took to the rails and lived the hobo life for a while. This quilt is an adaptation of the Hobo Code. The back is a railroad map of the US

Theresa -

Great quilt, Theresa. Where did you find the railroad map fabric?

Do each of those blocks have a meaning to Hobos? Like the Underground Railroad quilt patterns? Or Ships flags?
