Linda I hope its ok if I go ahead and post the 1st 5 books. They are so good I'm ready to reread them.

By Jennifer Chiaverini

The Quilter's Apprentice
Round Robin
The Cross-Country Quilters
The Runaway Quilt
The Quilter's Legacy

Starletta, I can quarentee you'll love them. So glad your interested.

Linda, how long to you what to take on each book? Chapter at a time or several? Then we discuss. Starletta you can go ahead and get ahold of the first one and we wait to see if anyone else wants to join in. By the way your name is beautiful. How did it come about that your parents named you that? It's not a real usual name.

Linda you might mention about our get to gather in Oct. And what we have been thinking about.

Let's get ahold of the other girls and see if they are ready to get busy with some things.

Hugs, Brenda

I'm working on getting the first book. My name came about because my parents first date was to the Starlet theatre and my Mom came up with Starletta...guess I'm lucky their first date wasn't at the Main Street Cafe! :-)

I went to Amazon and ordered the 5 books, which one are you going to read first? Are we going to read all of the Elm Street Quilt series or just at random?
Have any of you read the Butter in the Well series by Linda K. Hubaler? They are about a scandinavian woman's tale of life on the prairie. Where they homesteaded along the Smoky Hill River in 1886-1888. I've also read the Little House on the Prairie series.

Linda I found all of the books on Amazon books. The first one I came across was in our museum. The titles are
Butter in the Well
Prarieblomman
Egg Gravy
Looking Back
The last 3 book she wrote are
Trail of Thread
Thimble of Soil
Stitch of Courage-- I don't have the last three books yet but they sound interesting.

You might try your local library I'm going to check and see if they have Quilter's Apprentice at the library so that I can start with the rest of you on Tuesday. A second book club is fine by me. I'll see you girls at Pendleton's in November.

ladies - I finally found the henhouse! I have read most of Jennifer's books. They are great. I will reread the quilter's apprentice. I haven't been piecing anything for the last month - I broke my left arm. The cast comes off in two weeks, then I can get busy! - judylynn
