Random question - what's your favorite kind of pie? For me it's coconut cream (although I've never made one LOL!) |

Peach!!!! I do LOVE coconut cream, though! I will send you the recipe I got from Emeril for his coconut cream pie. It’s the best I’ve ever tasted! It uses a can of coconut milk…SO yummy! |

I’ve always loved Apple pie, but now my son has been making pecan pies for every occasion. So it is quickly becoming a favorite too. Especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle, yum! |

Are Marionberries like huckleberries in that they're out west and top secret in their location? I ask because I've never even heard of Marionberries. |

They’re a cross between 2 blackberry varieties. They were developed at Oregon State and are delicious!!! Huckleberries are more like blueberries but smaller and I think more tart. They like growing in the mountains. I don’t know if you could successfully grow them like a domestic blueberry. They are definitely treasures to hunt for! If someone has a secret picking spot they usually won’t tell anyone where it is! |

My favorite pie is Lemon Meringue. But I love a big fluffy coconut cream or a banana cream. |

Pecan pie is my default too, though I don't believe I've ever tried coconut or banana cream to definitively rule them out! |

I love blueberries so I'd probably like Marionberries. I've made plenty of peach and apple pies. Lemon meringue is Nathan's favorite so I make a lot of those. But, I've never made a pecan pie either!
Another random question - what's your favorite ice cream flavor? I have a few that I like depending on where I go, such as blueberry cheesecake or white lightning, but honestly when it comes to ice cream I like to switch it up all the time. I rarely get the same thing. Drives my husband nuts LOL! He's a vanilla ice cream with a little bit of chocolate syrup (not hot fudge) on top. If he's feeling adventurous he'll add a banana. |

Heather I love pistachios, butter pecan and list goes on. The only kind I will eat of chocolate is rocky road. |

I LOVE coconut cream pie! And a good tart Key Lime pie is hard to beat. Buttermilk pie, Chess pie, ANY fruit pie... Honestly, I just love pie. I will try any pie once and there haven't been many that after trying once, I wouldn't eat again. Lol! |

I have not! At least not by that name... I have had various cornmeal pies though, and they are yum! Does sawdust pie involve cornmeal? |

It sounds weird but it really is good…the filling is egg whites, chopped pecans, vanilla wafer or graham cracker crumbs, coconut, cinnamon and sugar. With whipped cream on top :) |

Debbie- Oh wow! Nope, I've never heard of/had that kind. I surely would like to try it though!
Heather-No, not at all! It's almost like a sugar cream pie, but grainier, I guess, would be my best attempt to explain it. Chess Pie is the most "common". It's real old Southern cooking. |
